Today's society:is called internationalization, and it is anticipated that cultural war will broke out in the 21st century to come.
For this reason, It is needed to be understood and experienced about multi-culture in music education. So it is very important to know the music of his/her own country.
Fortunately, we Koreans were made to emphasize the traditional music of our own in the sixth revised music curriculum in 1992. But there are many fundermental p problems to be revised so that learners may well be experienced in the textbooks. As if it is impossible to devide the music and culture of life, it is reasonable to be scheduled that teaching music should be started from the essential experience of his/her own tone.
For this reason, the main purpose of this study is to generalize the instruction activity of Kayagum Byung-Chang to form the sympathy of our traditional music. To accomplish this purpose, I developed the study in three classified steps, that is analysing all the tone of the traditional music in the textbook, searching for other things related to Sigimsae and studying practical instruction process for Byung-chang.
Above all, to play the Kayagum this study analysed all the tone of folk music. After that, prescribed some problems and its counter-measures. And for the Chang(singing) of folk music searched for the number of syllables, Changing of singing words or pronunciation and Si gimsae.
In this foundation, to teach the Kayagum Byung-Chang efficiently clssified steps as follows:
1st step' practical teaching of Kayagum.
2nd step- practical teaching of folk music chang (singing)
3rd step' connecting the kayagum and folk music chang (singing)
Especially, this study presented definite practical instruction process for the biginners can afford to in general school music education.
So at the foundation of this, this study enlarged various ideas that can be used creatively in music education. Along with this, this study will provide a opportunity to promote a mutual emotion band of our folk music. This will be related to the education to the real meaning of internationalization.
