      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

[1] This article is a tentative assumption of the biographical politics in search of its formation as a science. Biographical Politics, here, means the biography(including his/her family line, birth, educational orientation, social roles, historical evaluation and death)of the statesmen(politician, soldier and revolutionary) written by political scientist and political historian.
[2] The history of biography as the root of biographical politics ascends to the ancient history: it has evolved through mythology, transformation from myth to human history, heroic lives, and biography. Therefore biographical politics has formed through Herodorus, Plutarch, W. Shakespeare, E. Ludwig, T. Carlyle, I. Deutscher and E. H. Carr in the West. In Oriental history, it has formed Sima Quin(司馬遷) and military novels as History of Three Kingdoms(三國志) and completed by Liang Chi-Chao(梁啓超) in the late Ching Dynasty(淸). In Korea, the biographical politics has formed to inspire the nationalist spirit under the Japanese rule, and has been based on the heroism.
[3] The most important and warring point that we must be cautious in reading and writing the biography is the entombment in heroism. The hero as an object of biographical politics is neither Ueberman nor God but man between us. In biographical politics Jesus is not God but the son of man as described by E. Ludwig. biographical politics has evolved with the fall of the parliamentalism. Hero-worship is therefore a kind of enemy of the parliaments.
[4] Pathetic and unfortunate history needs the appearance of hero. But the age of hero does not mean that it was unfortunate age, because heroes in history have played role as positive actor to heal the social grievances and illness. They have inspired the oppressed people and given them hope to survive.
