초등학교 교사의 교육관과 직무만족과의 관계

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 교육관과 직무만족에 관한 기존의 이론들을 정리하고, 선행연구들을 체계적으로 요약한 후, 교육관이 직무만족에 미치는 영향을 비교, 분석하여 교사로 하여금 자발적인 열의를 가지고 그들의 능력을 최대한 발휘하도록 학교 운영에 도움을 주고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위한 연구문제는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 교사들의 교육관은 배경원인에 따라 어떠한 차이가 있는가?
둘째, 교사들의 직무만족도는 배경원인에 따라 어떠한 차이가 있는가?
셋째, 교사들의 교육관과 직무만족도는 어떠한 관계가 있는가?
이상의 연구문제들을 규명하기 위해 16개 초등학교의 교사 328명을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였고 회수된 설문지 317부 중 성실하게 응답한 300부만을 최종 분석자료로 사용하였으며, 설문지는 교육관 17문항, 직무만족 19문항, 일반적 사항 6문항으로 총 42문항으로 구성하였다.
통계적 방법은 각 문항별 성격에 따라 신뢰도 검증, 변량분석을 하였으며 통계처리는 SPSS(Statisstical Package for Social Science) 10.0을 사용하였다.
연구결과의 따른 결론은 다음과 같다.
첫째, 교사를 전문직이라 인식하였으며, 자신의 선택을 비교적 만족하였다.
둘째, 교육내용으로는 인성교육과 가치관 교육에 가장 역점을 두어야 한다.
셋째, 아동에게 가장 문제가 되는 점은 인내심의 부족이다.
넷째, 초등학교 학생들에게 가장 적합한 학습 방법은 토의식 방법이다.
다섯째, 가장 시급한 교육개력을 교원잡무경감이고 우선적으로 확충되어야 할 예산은 교원 처우개선을 위한 예산이다.
여섯째, 조기입학과 초등학교 영어교육에 관해서는 다소 부정적이고
일곱째, 바람직한 교사상으로는 사랑과 신뢰의 덕목이며
여덟째, 교사의 능력면에서는 교과지도와 생활지도 면을 우선하였고,
아홉째, 교직은 노동직이라 생각하는 교사의 직무만족도가 낮게 나타났으며 교직을 성직이나 봉사직으로 생각하는 교사들의 직무만족도가 대체로 높았다.
열번째, 교직자체에 대해서는 아동을 지식을 고루 갖춘 사람으로 길러야 한다고 생각하는 교사들의 직무 만족도가 가장 높았고, 인간관계면에서는 반대로 가장 낮았다.
그러므로 교사들의 전문성 향상을 위한 연수의 강화들을 통한 정책적 배려와 교직에 대한 사회, 경제적 처우를 개선하기 위해서는 교육행정 당국의 지속적인 관심과 지원이 있어야 하겠다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims at inducing teachers' voluntary enthusiasm and their latent abilities for the improvement of school management. For this aim, this writhe systematized existing theories on teachers' educational view and job satisfaction, and analyzed the influence of teachers' educational view on their job satisfaction. Subjects suggested in this study are as follows:
1) The different of teachers' educational view with respect to background factors
2) The different of teachers' job satisfaction with respect to background factors
3) The relation between teachers' educational view and job satisfaction
The objects of this study were 328 teachers working at 10 elementary schools. Of the 317 questionnaire collected, the 300 faithfully answered ones were chosen as the data subject to the final analysis. The questionnaire was composed of 42 question: 17 questions about educational view, 19 questions about job satisfaction, and 6 questions about general matters. Each field of questions were statistically dealt with by reliability analysis and variable quantity analysis. The data were statistically interpreted by SPSS(Statistical Package for Social Science) 10.0
The results obtained are as follows:
1) Teachers recognize teaching as a specialized job. They are generally satisfied with their choice of the job.
2) As the educational contents, most emphasis should be given to the education of humanities and value judgment.
3) What matters most elementary school children is the lack of patience.
4) The most appropriate educational method for elementary school children is the education by discussion.
5) What is most urgently needed is the decrease of teachers' miscellaneous works. Budget for the raise of teachers' salary should be provided before any other budget.
6) Teachers neither think it desirable to admit children at the age earlier than specified nor to teach English to children.
7) The most desirable virtues of teachers are love and reliability.
8) As for teachers' abilities, the priority is given to the abilities of teaching texts and guiding children's school lives.
9) Teachers who think teaching as a simple labor are little satisfied with their jobs. On the other hand, those who think teaching as a sacred service are much satisfied with their jobs.
10) Teachers who think that they are should cultivate in balance knowledge show the
highest satisfaction for their jobs.
This writer suggests, based on the above results, that the authority concerned should provide teachers with special training courses so that they may have the opportunity to improve their specialized abilities. He also suggests that the authority concerned should have continuous interests in raising teachers' economic status.
