오디에이션 음악활동을 통한 유아 피아노 지도 방안 연구 : 『오디 피아노·피아노 오디』의 테크닉 지도를 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 유아기 아이들의 피아노 테크닉 지도에 관한 것으로서『오디 피아노⦁피아노 오디』교재의 다양한 오디에이션 음악활동을 바탕으로 듣는 능력과 좋은 소리에 대한 감각의 발달을 도와 테크닉을 향상하는 교수법을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다.
테크닉은 자신이 의도한 소리와 감정을 전달하기 위한 수단으로 음악성과 별개로 생각할 수 없으며 오히려 음악적 표현과 상상을 실현할 수 있게 하는 매개체가 된다는 점에서 그 필요성이 더욱 강조되어야 한다. 더욱이 유아기에 배우게 되는 피아노 테크닉은 앞으로 아이들이 연주하게 될 수많은 연주곡의 기초가 된다는 점에서 그 중요성을 간과할 수 없다. 그러나 유아기 피아노 교육은 성인뿐만 아니라 학령기 어린이를 가르치는 방법과도 차별화되어야 하며 아이의 신체적, 인지적, 정서적 발달을 고려한 것이어야 한다. 더불어 단순히 기능적이고 기계적인 반복이 아닌 듣는 능력의 향상을 통한 음악성의 함양을 이룰 수 있는 수업이 되어야 한다.
Gordon은 음악 교육에 대한 주목할 만한 방법을 제시하였는데 그의 음악학습이론의 핵심은 바로 오디에이션(Audiation)이다. 오디에이션은 음악을 듣고 이해하는 힘을 말하며 실제로 소리가 들리지 않을 때조차 마음속으로 음악을 듣고 이해하는 것을 의미한다. Gordon의 음악학습이론을 실천하면서 실험연구를 통해 완성된 『오디 피아노⦁피아노 오디』는 국내의 저자들에 의해 만들어진 교재로 노래 부르기와 음악활동을 포함한 피아노 수업을 제안한다. 유아들은 Gordon의 음악학습이론에 기초한 수업을 통해 앞으로 연주하게 될 곡을 먼저 노래하면서 오디에이션 능력을 키우고 이로 인한 듣는 능력의 향상은 좋은 소리를 찾게 하여 테크닉의 발달을 돕는다.
본 논문은 문헌연구를 통해 Gordon의 음악학습이론(Music Learning Theory)과 유아기에 배워야 할 피아노 테크닉의 항목, 그리고 그에 따른 피아노 테크닉의 원리를 알아보았다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로『오디 피아노⦁피아노 오디』교재 중 테크닉 지도에 관한 수업안을 제시함으로써 오디에이션 음악활동을 통한 유아 피아노 지도 방안을 모색하였다.
유아를 대상으로 한 피아노 수업은 유아의 발달과정에 맞는 테크닉과 유아의 특성에 기초한 음악활동으로 이루어져야 한다. 유아 피아노 교사는 피아노 테크닉에 대한 바른 이해와 지식을 가지고 있어야 하며 적합한 방법으로 그것을 아이에게 전달해 줄 수 있어야 한다. 더불어 교사는 아이가 스스로 깨닫고 경험하도록 동기부여의 전략을 마련하여 아이로 하여금 음악을 더 풍성하게 누리고 바른 연주자로 성장할 수 있도록 도와야 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study relates the teaching methods to the early childhood children’s piano techniques, and its purpose is to present teaching methods that improve children’s techniques by helping their listening abilities and developing sense of listening to good sounds based on variety of Audiation musical activities included in『Audie Piano⦁Piano Audie』lesson books.
As piano technique is a mean of conveying one’s intended sound and emotion, it cannot be considered separately from music. Moreover, the necessity of piano technique must be more emphasized, since it is a medium that helps musical expression and imagination, and allows those to be realized. Furthermore, the fact that the piano technique learned during early childhood becomes the basis of varieties of piano techniques that children will be handling, its importance cannot be overlooked. Early childhood piano lessons should be differentiated not only form adult teaching lessons, but even from school-age children’s lessons, and teaching methods should be suitable for their physical, cognitive, and emotional developments. Moreover, instead of simple functional and banausic repetitions, the lessons should be able to develop musicality through improving listening abilities. The ultimate goal of good posture and hand shape is to present good sound, and keen sense of listening is necessary in order to use proper techniques.
Gordon has suggested a noteworthy music teaching method, and the core of his music learning theory is known as the Audiation. Audiation means listening and understanding music, and it actually means that even when there is nothing to hear, one may listen and understand music within his/her own mind. 『Audie Piano⦁Piano Audie』lesson books are published by Korean authors and completed through experiencing Gordon’s music learning theory and its experimental studies. The books also propose piano lessons that include singing and musical activities. Based on Gordon’s music learning theory, early childhood children will first sing the song that they will play through lessons and develop their Audiation ability and as it helps them to improve their listening ability and the ability of seeking good sounds, it will also allow children to develop their techniques.
This thesis reviews Gordon’s Music Learning Theory as a previous study for effective teaching methods of early childhood piano techniques. Also, it enumerates the piano techniques that should be learned in early childhood and examines the following general principles of piano techniques through literature research. Based on the result of this study, it presents lesson plans on『Audie Piano⦁Piano Audie』lesson books and seeks for the piano teaching methods to early childhood based on audiation musical activities.
Piano lessons for children(age 5-7) should be taught based on the music practices of children’s characteristics and appropriate technique of each children’s developmental process. Instructors should have the proper knowledge and understanding of piano techniques and should be able to convey those to the children in an appropriate approach. In addition, instructors should help children by preparing a strategy that stimulates motivation so that they can experience and acknowledge by themselves, and thus they can enjoy music and grow up as well players.
