This study was intended to investigate the relationship between the school levels(middle and high schools) of Korean golfing athletes(middle and high school students) and cognitive state anxiety, physical state anxiety and self-confidence and between their competitive state anxiety and competitiveness.
First, it was found that as the level of age decreased, the level of cognitive stats anxiety by level of school, on average, was high for male golfing athletes and low for female golfing athletes. And it was found that there was no interactional effect of cognitive stats anxiety by level of school and by gender.
Second, it was found that as the level of age decreased, the level of physical stats anxiety by level of school, on average, had the tendency to increase for both male golfing athletes and female golfing athletes, but there was no significant difference. There was no significant difference in physical state anxiety according to gender. And there was no interactional effect of physical state anxiety by level of school and by gender.
Third, it was found that the level of self-confidence by level of school, on average, was low for middle-school male golfing athletes and it was high as the level of age became higher. Depending on gender, the level of self-confidence was found to be high for female golfing athletes. And it was found that there was no interactional effect of self-confidence by level of school and by gender.
Fourth, as for the relationship between competitive state anxiety and competitiveness, it was found that scores became lower as cognitive state anxiety increased. And it was found that scores became higher as physical state anxiety became higher and scores became lower as self-confidence became higher. But there was no significant correlation.
