This thesis is about Zhouyi’s fortune-telling terminology and a horizon of healing in terms of the psychological consciousness of anxiety. Fortune-telling terms refer to good luck and bad luck, regret, and stinginess. These fortune-telling terms came from the way that yin and yang or strength and weakness harmonize with each other according to the relationship ‘guayaoxiang’and ‘guayaoci’. Fortune-telling terms such as regret, stinginess, and innocence require humans to have a heart of reflection and fear in daily life. If a person does something wrong, he or she should immediately repent and correct the wrongdoing. Therefore, fortune-telling terms has the effect of providing guidelines on how to behave correctly in a given situation.
Humans are complete beings by themselves, and life is the process of experiencing that completeness. Healing in human life is the restoration of one’s true human nature. A method of healing reflects the basic way of life. It depends on the actual life in which a person examines and restores the self. People become anxious when they feel incomplete. Self-actualization is possible when a person strives to restore his or her full existence. Therefore, the process of recovering the lost self is the process of healing, and therein lies the feeling of satisfaction.
When one’s true nature does not appear naturally, a substantial inner fault appears instead. In particular, people draw boundaries between themselves and others, destroying the proper way of life. This appears as a distorted view of life, a refracted view of the world, and a collapsed view of humanity. In this respect, healing is self-fulfillment and happiness is the satisfaction of healing. Hence, the process of life corresponds to a process of healing that enhances the quality of life, and this is an extension of the ontological problem of human life to the problem of the value theory of the community.
Consequently, the realm of healing has a dimension of consciousness that restores the natural expression of one’s true nature in the community. This conforms with the meaning and value of human beings in the community.
