        정전분무의 유체 물성치와 정전 매개변수 따른 분무특성

        Electrospray is used in various industries because it can produce continuous and uniform droplets. However, it is difficult to find optimal spraying condition due to lack of data in various conditions. In this study, various conditions were divided into electric parameters and fluid property. The electric parameters set Nozzle to Substrate(NTS), nozzle diameters and the fluid property set viscosity and conductivity as conditions. In this study, it observes spray patterns, Sauter Mean Diameter( SMD) according to conditions. As a result, fluid properties had a greater effect on the cone-Jet mode than on the nozzle diameter, NTS, and flowrate. All of solutions have Stable cone-jet mode at voltage of 8.5 kV, NTS of 20 mm and nozzle diameter of 0.2 mm. SMD has 27% different depending on viscosity and conductivity. The increased flowrate and viscosity are rising break-up length and thickening jet also jet is thinned by increased conductivity. Experiments have confirmed that the jet is thickened by increased flowrate and viscosity, and that the jet is thinned by conductivity.

        X선 위상차 가시화 기법을 이용한 GDI 인젝터 노즐 근방의 분무 간 상호간섭 해석

        Despite its benefit in engine thermal efficiency, gasoline-direct-injection (GDI) engines generate substantial particulate matter (PM) emissions compared to conventional port-fuel-injection (PFI) engines. One of the reasons for this is that the spray collapse caused by the spray-to-spray interaction forms the locally rich fuel-air mixture and increases the fuel wall film. Previous studies have investigated the spray collapse phenomenon through the macroscopic observation of spray behavior using laser optical techniques, but it is somewhat difficult to understand the interaction between sprays that is initiated in the nearnozzle region within 10 mm from the nozzle exit. In this study, the spray structure, droplet size and velocity data were obtained using an X-ray imaging technique from the near-nozzle to the downstream of the spray to investigate the spray-tospray interaction and discuss the effects of spray collapse on local droplet size and velocity distribution. It was found that as the ambient density increases, the spray collapse was promoted due to the intensified spray-to-spray interaction, thereby increasing the local droplet size and velocity from the near-nozzle region as a result of droplet collision/coalescence.

        분무패턴 분석을 이용한 가솔린 직접 분사식 인젝터의 개별 분무플럼 분무각 측정 방법에 대한 연구

        The purpose of this study is to propose and compare methods for measuring individual spray cone angles using spray cross-section images. In direct injection gasoline engines, it was believed that the distribution of air-fuel mixture in the combustion chamber directly affected combustion performance and emission formation. However, since gasoline direct injection (GDI) injectors have a small injection angle, interference between individual spray plumes occurs. Therefore, GDI injectors have only measured the spray angle of the entire spray. To overcome these limitations, three methods of indirectly measuring the spray cone angles of individual spray plume were presented and compared by forming sheet beams using Nd:YAG laser and acquiring spray cross-section images. Each method currently has advantages and disadvantages, and research to apply the method suitable for various GDI injectors needs to be continued.

        횡단 공기유동장으로 분사되는 저온 에탄올 제트의 침투거리

        The jet in crossflow is a spray method used in the various air-breathing engine. In order to understand the spray characteristics in various environments, many prior studies have been conducted. However, there is a lack of understanding of the low-temperature liquid spray characteristics below 273 K. With this in mind, we tried to enhance the knowledge of the lowtemperature liquid spray characteristics by identifying the penetration height of low-temperature ethanol. The experiment was conducted under phase pressure, and 273 K of air and 293, 263, and 233 K of ethanol was used. Shadowgraphy was employed to measure the liquid penetration, and Otsu’s method was used to analyze the penetration height. The heights tend to decrease as the temperature of the liquid jet decreases. A correlation for the penetration height in the experimental conditions was derived and presented.

        압축착화기관용 가변밸브 듀레이션(VVD)시스템의 제어전략에 따른 유동 및 연소성능 해석

        Recently, global warming and environmental pollution are becoming more important, and fuel economy is becoming important. Each automobile company is actively developing various new technologies to increase fuel efficiency. CVVD(Continuously Variable Valve Duration) system means a device that continuously changes the rotational speed of the camshaft to change the valve duration according to the state of the engine. In this paper, VVT(Variable Valve Timing) and CVVD were applied to a single-cylinder diesel engine, and the characteristics of intake and exhaust flow rate and in-cylinder pressure characteristics were analyzed by numerical analysis. In order to analyze the effect of CVVD on the actual engine operation, the study was performed by setting the valve control and injection pressure as variables in two sections of the engine operating region. As a result, In the case of applying CVVD, the positive overlap with the exhaust valve is maintained, thus it is possible to secure the flow smoothness of air and increase the volumetric efficiency by improving the flow rate. The section 2 condition showed the highest peak pressure, but the pressure rise rate was similar to that of the VVT 20 and CVCD 20 conditions up to 40 bar due to the occurrence of ignition delay.

        산화 구리표면에서 액적의 막비등에 관한 실험적 연구

        In the present study, experiments on the film boiling of liquid droplets on oxidized copper surface was conducted. The shape of pure water droplets was observed, and the evaporation rate of them was measured during the film boiling evaporation process. The droplet of initial volume 16 ~ 30 μl was applied onto the oxidized copper surface heated up to 300 ~ 500℃, then the shape of the droplet was analyzed during the film boiling evaporation. Experimental results showed that there was good correlation between dimensionless volume and dimensionless time. However, a significant difference in evaporation rate for small and large droplets discussed in previous study was not found.
