At present many kinds of feed are being produced at the three hundred or more factories in our country. Of all them the feed for poultry farming is dirided into those for new-born chickens, for young chickens, for grown chickens, for initial egg laying hens, middle-aged egg-lay inghens, for egg laying hens in the final term, for young broilers, for middle-aged broilers, for grown broilers and for breeding hens, being sold·like that as it is. I selected seven among ten kinds of feed for initial egg-laying hens which had been used generally by real poultry men in choon chun and fed them to egg-laying hens eight months of age for two months-from 1979. 10. 10 to 1979, 12. 10. Now I examine and compare the egg-laying power of them and report the result of the examination and comparison.
Handu-lite의 飼料添加가 産卵率,卵重,飼料 攝取量 및 鷄糞의 硬軟狀態, 水分含量, Ammonia-Gas 發生등에 미치는 影響

After mixing "Handu-lite" of Handu Trade Co. with each feed of 176 days'laying hens by 1%, 3%, 5%, 7% levels, during 63 days I investigated Laying rate, Feed requirement, Egg wt. ,Feed consumption, Body wt. , Moisture contained quantity of droppings, Hardness and softness of droppings, Generated quantity of Ammonia gas and of maggot, So I obtained such a conclusion as follows. 1. Laying rate of 3% Handu-lite Annexed Lot (the following 3% H.A. Lot was 5.3 higher than that of Contrast Lot(the following C. Lot) but that of 7% H.A. Lot was 7.3% lower. 2. Egg wt. of H.A. Lots, on the whole, were weightier than that of C. Lots. Particularly that of 7% H.A. Lot was 2g weightier. 3. Feed Consumption of H.A. Lots was more than that of 6. Lot. The more Handu-lite was annexed, the more feed was consumed. 4. Feed requirement in 2.29 of 1% H.A. Lot and 3% H.A. Lot was the best. That in 2.27 of 7% H.A. Lot was the worst. 5. Body wt. ,generally, the more Handu-lite was annexed, the heavier Body wt. became. 6. In Laying house viability, No hens were died during the experiment. 7. In Hardness and softness of droppings, H.A. Lots had few differences from Clot. But 5% and 7% H.A. Lot had comparatively soft droppings. 8. In Moisture contained quantity of droppings, the droppings of H.A. Lots was less moist than those of C. Lot. In proportion to Handulite annexed quantity, quantity, Moisture contained quantity was lessened by the level of between 1 and 6.8% 9. In Generated quantity of Ammonia-gas from dropping, the more Handu-lite was annexed, the less Generate quantity of Ammonia-gas became. In comparison with C. Lot "100", at the Generated quantity of Ammonia-gas at 7% H.A. Lot "1" could be controled within the limit of 29%∼25%. 10. In Generated quantity of maggots, 1% and 3% H.A. Lots had few differences from C. Lot. But at 5% and 7% H.A. Lots, that was diminished considerably.
어린이집의 給食 및 嗜好 實態에 관한 硏究 : 서울特別市內 어린이집을 中心으로 Surveyed at Day Care Center in Seoul

This study is based on a survey at 9 Day care center located in Seoul. Boys are 346 persons and girls 293, whose age is 4 to 6. The survey was made for the period of July 1 to 20, 1980. The study is made on : 1) General environment 2) Intake of foods 3) Intake of nutrients 4) Intake of snacks 5) Favorites 6) Growing 7) Oral diseases The results are as follows : A. 1. Occupation of fathers : Commerce, ratio : 37.7% 2. schooling of mothers : Highschool graduation,ratio : 42.3% 3. generally the chief made up the menu and served foods by themselves and the cooks prepared foods.Ratio : 88.9% B. Intake ratio of cereals per day per child, ratio : 37.21% and vegetable foods 86.4% and animal foods 13.6% C. 1. Calorie intake per child is 568 KCal. being not more than 66.9% of 100% suggested. 2. That of protein is 21.23g, animal protein 5.63g. which is less than the suggested, same to calcium, iron, vitamins A, B_1 and B_2 and etc. D. Intake of snacks per day per child is 81.66g, of which calorie is 125.71kacl. being less than suggested. All nutrients necessary for Korean people are less than the suggested. E. Favorite meals by children are "Jjajangmyun noodle", rice,hotdog, bread, hotcake, "Ramyun noodle", roasted rice, vegetable-beef mix, Unfavorites by over 60% children are freshgreens mix, redbean rice and seasoned greens-rice mix. Favorite foods by over 80% children are laver, fruits, milk, corn, beef, sguid dried egg, potato, sweet potato, "kimchi", chicken, ham and sausage. Unfavorite by over 60% children are pickle and spagetti sauce. Favorite deserts are ice-cream, beverages like Cola, "Fanta", chocolates, fruit juices, peanuts and candies. F. Growth of height is satisfactory comparing with the standard showing P<0.01 of 4 years old boys and girls, P<0.01 of age : 5, P<0.05 of age : 6.weight growth shows P<0.01 of such ages children.Chest Circumference of age : 4 boys and girls are larger than the standard showing P<0.05 and P<0.01 of ages : 5 and 6. G. Notwithstanding the intake of nutrients is less than the suggested, no oral diseases are found. In conclusion, this study strongly stresses the importance of improving the meal service to the children as soon as possible under the cooperation of authorities concerned specifically to the below-described aspcts : (1) To secure dieticians and licensed cooks in order to serve good meals, of which intake by children is to be satisfactory to the suggested. (2) To improve how to cook better and to serve snacks two times a day without fail. (3) Meals are to be cooked in kitchens of standard sanitation.
