The desalinization experiments with water management practices were carried out, using the soil samples collected in reclaimed tidelands in the western part of Korea. The soil samples were classified into two groups, namely, silty loam and silty clay loam. The leaching method by subsurface drainage and the rinsing method by surface drainage were applied for the water management practices. The changes of electrical conductivity, exchangeable sodium percentage and pH during the desalinization of reclaimed tidelands were observed. And desalinization effects were analyzed by statistical methods. The results obtained from this study are as follows : The rates of decrease of the relative electrical conductivity and the relative exchangeable sodium percentage against the increase of leaching requirements for desalinization, were greater in the leaching method than in the rinsing method. The tendency was considerably high at the beginning of desalinization, regardless of water management methods or clay contents, and was gradually reduced thereafter. The regression equations for the estimation of the leaching requirements for desalinization could be derived, using the relative electrical conductivity, the relative exchangeable sodium percentage, and the relative pH. As the result, the leaching requirements for desalinization could be estimate at Dw/Ds=3.0 in the rinsing method and Dw/Ds=0.4 in the leaching method.

These experiments were performed to investigate the effects of plant growth regulators on the tissues culture of red pepper. The best callus growth was observed in Murashige & Skoog's media containing 0.2-2.0㎎/l 2, 4-D plus 0.2㎎/l kinetin or BA on the segments of hypocotyl and cotyledon of red pepper. On the medium with 2.0㎎/l zseatin and 0.01㎎/l 2, 4-D somatic embryos were differentiated from embryogenic cell of immature embryo by suspension culture after 5 week-culture and 8 weeks later they were developed into plantlets, while on the medium with 1.0㎎/l BA and 0.05㎎/l NAA the shoot and root were differentiated from callus mass. The addition of brassinolide retarded the formation of somatic embryo, shoot and root. Key words : Brassinolide - BA - Capsicum annuum(red pepper) - embryogenic callus - 2, 4 - D - kinetin - NAA - somatic embryo - zeatin.

The investigation is how white rot fungus, coriolus versicolor transformed the oak wood (Q. Variabilis) physicaly or chemicaly. 1. The further decrease of weigh decreasing and compressive strength depend on the culture period where the sap wood decreases more than the heart wood. 2. Using cold water, hot water or alkili, the extractives of both the sap wood and heat wood are increased at longer periods than shorter periods. 3. Over a long culture period, lignin and holocellulose, produce from sap and heart wood, starts to decrease and remarkably after six month period. 4.Over a long culture period, the ash increase between sap and heart wood are very similar. 5. On avicelase, CMCase, -glucosidase, the activity of sap wood is greater than heart wood and heart wood has a greater activation on -glucosidase than sap wood. 6. On xylanase and laccase, activation shows a maximum value at the sixth-month period. And activity of sap wood is greater than heart wood.

At a primary period, the heart wood has more extractives than the sap wood. But the longer the culture period, the more extractives the sap wood creates. On the contrary, the organic solvent extractives of both sap and heart wood are decreased at longer periods than shorter periods. Also, heart wood creates more extractives than sap wood. 3. Over a long culture period, lignin and holocellulose, produced from sap and heart wood, starts to decrease and remarkably after six month period. The decreasing rate of sap wood is more severe than heart wood. α-cellulose increases during the primary period, but later grdually decreases. The sap wood has greater rate than heart wood. 4. Over a long culture period, the ash increase between sap and heart wood are very similar. 5. On avicelase, CMCase, β-glucosidase, the activity of the cellulase shows a maximun value at the sixth-month period. On avicelase and CMCase, the activity of sap wood is greater than heart wood, and heart wood has a greater activation on β-glucosidase than sap wood. 6. On xylanase and laccase, activation shows a maximum value at the sixth-month period. And activity of sap wood is greater than heart wood.

When the historic landscape is ineterpreted as the parts of the cultural landscape, it is also recognized the wheels of the history and the footprints of the human development from the past to the present. Therefore it was said that the effects, which was posed to be the interdependent and form-giving media between the human and his environment, has been existed many times from the previous periods. But the results of their effects did not always proceed the proper direction in the contexts of "change-continuity" relationship between them. And the concerns about the preservation of the historic landmarks and historic landscape would prove the damages of the historic landscape in the changing spatial contexts. In this study, we searched its value as the day-life environment in the contextual background between the historic landscape and the environmental design, and also proposed two kinds of solutions which were to he the preservative management mothods. These were the selective criteria and the prohibited range of the preservative management.
