새로운 N-치환된 Arylidenecyanoacrylamide 유도체들의 합성

A series of N-substituted arylidenecyanoacrylamide derivates(8, 9, 10) have been synthesized in good yield by the reaction of aromatic aldehydes with active methylene compounds containing cyano group in boiling ethanol in the prescience of catalytic amount of triethylamine. The structure of these derivatives are identified by IR and ¹H-NMR spectral data.
α,β-불포화 카르보닐 화합물들과 Malononitrile의 반응

2,4,5,6-Substituted pyridine derivatives, such as 2-methyl-4-furanyl -5-cyano-6-methoxypyridine(7b), 2-aryl-4-furanyl -5-cyano-6-methoxypyridines(9a, 9d, 9e) and 2-styryl-4-phenyl-5-cyano-6-methoxypyridine(11) were prepared by the reaction of mal-ononitrile as Michael donor toward various compounds(6b, 8a, 8d, 8e, 10). The reactions appear to proceed via Michael addition of malononitrile to α,β-unsaturated carbonyl system followed by the condensation of the intermediate. The structure of these pyridines were elucidated from their ¹H-NMR and IR spectral data.

New vinyl derivatives of furan and pyrrole, such as (E)-4-methyl-1-(2-pyrryl) penten-3-one(6d),(E)-1-(2-furyl)-3-(p-ethylphenyl)propen-e- one(6b'),(E)-1-(2-furyl)-3-(p-chlorophenyl)propen-3-one(6c'), (E)-1-(2-furyl)-3-(p-methoxyphenyl)propen-3-one(6d'),(E)-1-(2-furyl)-3-(m-nitrophenyl)-propen-one(6e') and (E)-1-(1-methyl-2-pyrryl)buten-3-one(12a) were prepared by the condensation of furfural and 1-methyl-2-formylpyrrole with the corresponding compounds having active methylene group. The reduction of compound(6d) with NaBH₄gave only (E)-4-methyl-1-(2-furyl) penten-3-ol(9d). In the application of the Huang-Minlon modification under the same condition, the reduction of vinylpyrrole deribatives gave 1-(1-methy1-2-pyrryl) butane(13a)and 1-(1-methyl-2-pyrryl)-3-phenylpropane(13a'), but vinylfuran derivatives were not reduced to the corresponding alkyl derivatives of furan because of their easy polymerization at low temperature.

Substituent effects on the electron delocalizability of derivatives of vinylpyrrole and pyrrole imine have been examined in MeOH solution by ultraviolet spectrophotometry. The effects did not appear to be additive, but longer wavelength shift due to conjugation and electron withdrowing group. Specially, the significant difference in ?? for derivatives of pyrrole imine was seem to be caused by the conjugation effect and the position of the substituents.
GC 및 활성탄에 의한 알킬 치환 페놀류의 분자면적 추정

Activated carbons were prepared from leaves of Ginkgo biloba by activation process with zinc chloride after carbonization. The specific surface area of this activated carbon measured by BET surface analyzer was obtained as 469.8㎡/g. Adsorption of alkyl substituted phenols on activated carbon was determined using gas chromatography. It was found that molecular area could be estimated using Langmuir's isotherm, specific surface area, and Avogadro's number. Molecular areas for phenol, 2-ethyl phenol, 2,5-dimethyl phenol, 2-isopropyl phenol were 0.0288n㎡, 0.0796n㎡, 0.0384n㎡, and 0.1182n㎡, respectively. This estimation techniques are potentially useful to obtain molecular area for various compounds.
Chalcone 및 Active methylene 화합물들과 Acetoacetamide의 반응

In connection with a programme on the synthesis of monohetrocyclic such as 2-pyridone and pyridine derivatives, acetoacetamide(4) reacts with active methylene compounds(7,9,11) and chalcone (1) to give the corresponding 2-pyridone (8) and cyclohexenone derivatives (6) different from the reaction of chalcone with β-ketoanilides(2).
Solid Support 상에서 Cr(VI)-Pyrazine Complex에 의한 Alcohol들의 선택적 산화반응

CuSo₄·5H₂O와 조합된 중성 Al₂O₃를 solid support로 사용한 Cr(Ⅵ)-pyrazine complex는 매우 선택적 산화제 임을 알수 있었다. CuSO₄·5H₂O와 중성 Al₂O₃를 solid support로 사용하여 상온에서 반응시켜 본 결과 benzylic 및 allylic alcohol은 산화가 된 반면 포화 1급 알콜은 낮은 수율로 혹은 산화반응이 진행되지 않았다. 이때 solid support와 Cr(Ⅵ)-pyrazine complex를 mortar에 함께 갈아서 알콜을 녹인 CH₂Cl₂용액에 넣고 heterogeneous반응을 행함으로써 반응조작과 work-up이 간편하고, 생성물이 환원된 산화제와 오염되지 않아 쉽게 분리되거나 정제되었다. Solid chromium (Ⅵ)-pyrazine complex in combination with neutral alumina and CuSo₄·H₂O was found to be selective and efficient oxidizing agent for the conversion of benzylic and allylic alcohols to their corresponding aldehydes and ketones, whereas oxidation of saturated primary alcohol with same reagent was very sluggish. The product of the present procedure are not contaminated with reduced oxidant and are therefore easily isolated and purified.

Thermodynamic parameters of a homologous serious of n-aldehydes were determined by using gas chromatographic retention data, distribution coefficient and following relationships : ??, ??, ??. From the retention data at several temperatures under isothermal conditions, a plot of lnk versus 1/T was generated, and the enthalpy and entropy changes were calculated from the slope and intercept, respectively. The standard free energy value change calculation of the transition between the stationary phase and the mobile phase results in negative value in the most cases, indicating a spontaneous process. The relationship between the standard free energy and the number of carbon atoms in the homologue was linear under isothermal conditions, and the linear relationship between free energy change and temperature was accurately determined. The information applicable to the prediction of retention times using numerical simulation was obtained.

Ozone has a strong oxidizing capacity next to fluorine, so it is used for oxidized dissolution of organism, decoloration, deodorization, fumigation, etc., regarding to water. In this study dye and papermill wastewater was treated strongly with ozone at 100g/hr and the flow rate through ozone contact tank was adjusted to 2ℓ/min. The experiment was conducted at three different conditions. In the first place, effluent and raw wastewater was ozonized and secondly raw wastewater was treated using AlCl_3 and PAC coagulation. The third condition was post-ozone treatment following PAC coagulation. As a result, pre-ozone treatment process with PAC coagulation and post-ozone treatment showed more efficient effluent quality than the previous conventional process.
α,β- 불포화 카르보닐 화합물들과 β- ketoanilide들의 반응에 관한 연구

1,3,4,6-Tetrasubstituted 2-pyridones(3,5) and 1,2,5-Substituted cyclohexenones(6) were prepared by the condensation of chalcones(1) and 1,5-diphenyl-1,4-pentadiene-3-one(4) as a α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compound with β-ketoanilides (2) using freshly prepared. sodium ethoxide in ethal at room temperature or under reflux. The reactions appear to proceed via Michael addition of the β- or δ-methylene anion derived from β-ketoanilides to α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds(1,4) followed by the condensation of the intermediate. Possible mechanism for their reaction were proposed and the structure of all the compounds(3,5,6)was identified by IR, ¹H-NMR and MS spectral data.
