      • 잣나무 母樹의 몇개形質과 風媒次代의 幼時生長의 變異

        Average height, diameter and seed weight of twenty two mother trees, and height and diameter growth of progeny families from the mother trees were examined, and the variations depending upon family and block for five years (from 5-year-old to 9-year-old seedlings), as well as relationships among surveyed characters were analysed in Korean white pine. The results obtained from the above were as follows; 1. Mean height and diameter of the mother trees were 18.78 ± 0.37m and 28.30 ± 0.89 ㎝respectively, and the coefficients of variation were 9.21% for the height and 14.7% for the diameter. 2. Average seed weight over the whole families was 610.9±11.9㎎, but it varied with mother tree and seed production year. The F-11 mother tree produced the heavest average seed weight of 847.2±45.0㎎ and A-15 showed the lightest average seed weight of 448.3±18.7㎎. 3. The average height and diameter of progeny families from 5-year-old to 9-year-old seedlings, and the coefficients of variation of the two characters were as following table. 표 원문을 참조하세요 4. The height and diameter growth were affected by family and block, and showed the change of exponential curve with the increase in seedling age, and the estimated growth formulas of height and diameter were Y=4.450e^(0.243)x and Y=0.249e^(0.410)x 5. The effect of family on the variance in height and diameter decreased but that of block increased linearlly with the increase in tree age. 6. No. relationships between height and diameter were found in mother trees and progeny seedlings. But relationships between height and diameter in mother trees, progeny seedlings, and among seedling ages, were significant.

      • 18年生 잣나무 次代檢定林의 家系別 毬果 着生量의 變異와 遺傳力

        경기도 가평, 광주 그리고 충청북도 영동 지역에 조성한 잣나무 種子多産系 次代檢定林에 있어서 地域別, 家系別 18年生 着果量의 分散을 分析 檢討하고 遺傳力을 推定하였던 바 다으과 같은 結果를 얻었다. 1. 着果量은 지역별로 차이를 나타내여 가평 지역의 個體木當 平均看果數가 0.85個, 광주 지역이 0.87個, 영동 지역이 0.72個였으며, 3個 지역 전체 平均看果數는 0.82였다. 2. 3個 지역에 있어서 平均看果數가 가장 많았던 家系는 20番家系(0.96個)였으며 가장 看果가 적었던 家系는 21番家系(0.74個)였다. 3. 3個 지역 看果數는 變異에 가장 큰 影響을 미치는 分散要因은 plot내의 個體木間에 있었으며, 家系, 지역, Block 그리고 이들 要因들의 相互作用이 有意하게 영향하고 있었다. 그러나, 가계×지역의 상호작용은 중요 分散要因이 아니었다. 4. 看果數의 單一木遺傳力은 0.04~0.24, 家系遺傳力0.006, 家系遺傳力은 0.349였다. 5. 看果數에 대한 單一木 및 家系遺傳力은 지역에 따라 차이가 나타났으나 個體木當 平均看果數가 만았던 광주 지역이 높은 경향을 보였다. The objectives of this study were to analyze variation and to estunate heritabilities for cone production of 18-year-old open-polhated progenies of Korean White Pine in three different sites. The results were summarized as follows ; 1. Family, site, block, and interactions among these factors were significant source of variance for cone production. But the effects of family × site interaction were not relahvely large as compared with other source of variance. 2. Average values were 0.85 at Kapyung site, 0.87 at Kwangju site, 0.72 at Youngdong site and 0.82 overall three sites m mean of cone number per tree, respectively. 3. Family of No. 20 showed excellent value of 0.96 in mean of cone number per tree over all sites. 4. Individual-tree and family heritabilities were estimated 0.040∼24 and 0.16∼0.69 for cone production, respectively. For overall the sites, estunate of individual-tree heritability was 0.006 and that of family was 0.349 for cone production. 5. Heritability estunates vaned with testing site, and those for family were higher than for individual-tree.

      • 잣나무의 遺傳力에 關한 硏究(Ⅱ) : 風媒次代 2-1 苗의 葉長 및 鋸齒數의 變異와 遺傳力 Variation and heritability of leaf length and number of serration in 3-year-old seedlings

        Variation and heritability of leaf length and number of serration were investigated for 3-year-old seedlings from 75 mother tree in Korean white pine (Pinus koraiensis S. et Z.) The range of leaf length was from 2.1㎝ to 12.8㎝ and 7.37±0.18㎝ in average. Number of serration was ranged from 6.7 to 20.7 and the average was 12.91±0.50. Significant differences among families for the above two traits were recognized. Estimates of single tree and family heritability by variance analysis were h^2_I=0.15 and h^2_F=0.21 for leaf length, and h^2_I=0.38 and h^2_F=0.55 for number of serration respectively.

      • 잣나무의 植裁地域別 및 家系別 初期生長의 變異에 關한 硏究

        The variations and heritabilities according to the planting regions and the families from open- pollinated trees aged 7 years were investigated in Pinus koraiensis. Experimental forests were established with 18 families in 3 different regions. The growth of height and diameter varied significantly with the families and the planting regions. The family of number 8 showed the best growth in 90.17cm of height and 15.98mm of diameter, and Ka-pyong area showed the highest growth in height and diameter and the highest estimate of heritabdity . Estimates of individual tree and family heritability were h^2_I = 0.44 and h^2_F = 0.83 in tree height and h^2_I = 0.21 and h^2_F = 0.69 in diameter, respectively. Positive coefficients of correlationship between diameter and height were found in 3 different regions.

        This study was carried out to investigate the variation and heritability for tree height and diameter growth of 15-year-old progenies of Korean white pine in Kwang-Ju. The results can be summarized as follows: 1. Family, block, and family × block interaction were significant sources of variation for tree height and diameter growth. 2. Average values were 462.81±2.48㎝ in height and 89.40±0.63㎜ in diameter all over the 20 families. 3. No. 20 family showed excellent growth of 539.09㎝ in mean height, 103.7㎜ in mean diameter, respectively. 4. Individual-tree and family heritabilities were estimated 0.48 and 0.73 for height growth, and 0.37 and 0.68 for diameter growth, respectively. 5. When the top of 10% of individuals or families were selected, the expected genetic gains for tree height and diameter were higher in the combined selection than in another selection method.

        In the seedling grown under different light internsities for two years at seed bed, length of needle, density of serration, number of stomata and stomatal zone, and number of endodermal call in needle varied with relative light intensity except number of secretory cell. And the leaf characters were influenced by the light intensity in contribution rates from 18.4% to 34.3%. Positive correlation between the growth and weight of seedlings and the leaf characters were recognized. But there were no significant correlations between the growth of seedling and number of serration, and between the weight of seedling and density of stomata and serration.

      • 傾斜立地가 잣나무 家系別 樹高 및 直徑 生長 變異에 미치는 影響

        This study was carried out to estimate effect of slope site as a factor of environments on variance of height and diameter growth by family in half-sib progeny of Korean White Pine. Data were collected from 7-, 12-, and 17-year-old trees by family in the progeny test forest established in Kyung Hee university forest loca-ted at Youngdong-Gun, Chungchongbuk-do province. Average heights and diameters were 59.1±0.6cm(cv=30.4%) and 10.1±0.lmm(cv=25.1%) in 7-year-old, 198.7±1.7cm(cv=23.5%) and 39.2±0.4mm(cv=26.5%) in 12-year-old, and 443.5± 2.6㎝(cv=16.5%) and 81.2±0.6mm(cv=22.1%) in 17- year-old, respectively. No. 20 family showed excellent growth of 79.1±2.8cm and 12.9±0.3mm in 7-year- old, 236.2±6.5cm and 46.7±1.3mm in 12-year-old, and 502.0±9.6cm and 90.4±2.5mm in 17year-old in mean height and diameter. No. 21 family showed worst growth of 46.7±1.7cm and 8.8±0.2mm in 7-year-old, 168.8±4.6cm and 33.8±l..1mm in 17-year-old in mean height and diameter. Height and diameter growth variance was influenced by slope site with family. Family source more affected on variance of height and diameter growth than slope site did. On the whole, growth variances due to slope site decreased and cleared with tree age increase but showed differently in height and diameter. Between slope distance from down to up and height and diameter growth minus correlation was found and varied with family, significant correlation coefficient appeared in only 6 of all 16 families in height growth but only one family in diameter growth on 7-, 12-, and 17-year-old trees.

        Variations, heritabilities and genetic gains for height and diameter growth of 14-year-old progenies of 20 Korean white pine(Pinus koraiensis) families were investigated in Youngdong site. Family, Block, and Family×Block interaction were significant sources of variance for height and diameter growth of the progenies. The average height and diameter were 271.5±1.9㎝, 54.8±0.4㎜, respectively. Variance components ratio of family to total variance components in diameter was higher than that in height. Heritability estimates of height growth were higher than those of diameter growth. Estimates of family and individual tree heritability were 0.64, 0.37 in height growth, and 0.55, 0.21 in diameter one, respectively. When the top 10% of individuals or families were selected, the expected genetic gains for tree height and diameter were 37㎝(13.6% of the average height) and 4.7㎜(8.6% of the average diameter) in the mass selection, 24.4㎝(9.0%) and 1.2㎜(2.2%) in the family selection, 27.7㎝(10.2%) and 15.4㎜(28.1) in the within family selection, 52.1㎝(19.2%) and 16.6㎝(30.3%) in the combined selection, respectively.

      • 잣나무 風媒種子의 家系別 圃場 發芽率의 變異와 遺傳力

        The variation and heritability for field germination were investigated in Korean white pine. Open pollinated seeds were collected from 131 individual trees grown at 7(A∼G)different stands. The results were as follows: 1. Field germinations ranged from 2.08±0.86%(in D6 family)to 77.13±7.30%(in A7 family)with mean 37.91±0.86%. The high variance of field germination showed with 52.15% of CV value. 2. Family was a significant source of variance(1% level)for the field germination. The effect of family source on the field germination variance was 82.24% in the contribution rate. 3. Field germination was effected by the site of mother tree stand. Average field germination of seeds from trees of stand A showed the lowest value of 21.80±2.23%, however, stand B did the highest value of 38.58±4.71%. The effect of site source on the field germination variance was 6.25% in contribution rate. 4. The broad­sence heritability estimated for fieid germination was h^2=0.825.
