        The Reactions of O(3P) Atom with Halomethanes:Discharge Flow-Chemiluminescence Imaging Method

        reaction by oxygen atom from bromine orchlorine substituted methanes are known to be 5 orders ofmagnitude slower than reaction 6.6 The rate of reaction 7 inthis work is much faster than that of CH3Br + O.5,6 The OBror OH formation pathway in the reaction 7 is not feasible atroom temperature since the pathways are estimated to behighly endothermic by comparing the reaction CF2HBr +- kw kbia + ( )294 Bull. Korean Chem. Soc. 2002, Vol. 23, No. 2 Jee-Yon Lee and Hee-So YooO(1D).12 No kinetic and thermodynamic data are availablefor CHCl2Br and its reaction with O(3P).
