        <P>The definition of multicast routing was already described more than 20 years ago. Many routing algorithms and the evaluation of these algorithms based on software techniques have been proposed since the year 2000. Multicast is required in various environments with consideration of transportation quality and different requirements. This means the requirements of multicast service increase steadily and it's the time to meet economic and time-to-market with quality of service. In this paper, we describe the process of analysis, design and implementation of applying overlay multicast protocol (OMP) to application software according to the arrangement with a client that wanted to apply specific requirements. In perspectives of software engineering, we share our experiences and development process for applying OMP.</P>

      • Coupling of spin and angular momentum of light in plasmonic vortex.

        <P>We present that two distinct optical properties of light, the spin angular momentum (SAM) and the orbital angular momentum (OAM), can be coupled in the plasmonic vortex. If a plasmonic vortex lens (PVL) is illuminated by the helical vector beam (HVB) with the SAM and OAM, then those distinct angular momenta contribute to the generation of the plasmonic vortex together. The analytical model reveals that the total topological charge of the generated plasmonic vortex is given by a linear summation of those of the SAM and OAM, as well as the geometric charge of the PVL. The generation of the plasmonic vortex and the manipulation of the fractional topological charge are also presented.</P>

        Generation of multiple vortex-cones by direct-phase modulation of annular aperture array

        <P>The generation of multiple vortex cones using an annular aperture array and a spatial light modulator (SLM) is studied. The direct downscale imaging of an SLM on the surface of an annular aperture enables the direct-phase modulation of the annular aperture. It is experimentally demonstrated that the direct-phase modulation of an annular aperture array can control both the topological charge and the horizontal positions of multiple vortex cones simultaneously.</P>

        DC-free on-axis holographic display using a phase-only spatial light modulator

        <P>A DC-noise-free on-axis holographic display scheme using a phase-only spatial light modulator (SLM) is proposed. The origin of DC noise in the on-axis holographic display using a phase-only SLMis analyzed, and a DC noise rejection filter is optimized for a phase-only SLM is designed. A novel two-step iterative Fourier transform algorithm for the optimal synthesis of a phase-only computer-generated hologram using the proposed scheme is devised. The proposed scheme and algorithm are validated with numerical simulations and experiments. (C) 2018 Optical Society of America</P>

        Convertible two-dimensional-three-dimensional display using an LED array based on modified integral imaging.

        <P>We propose a two-dimensional (2D) to three-dimensional (3D) convertible display technique using a light-emitting diode (LED) array based on the principle of modified integral imaging. This system can be electrically converted between 3D and 2D modes by using different combinations of LEDs in the LED array without any mechanical movement. The LED array, which is controlled electrically, is used for backlight, and a lens array is used for making a point light source array with higher density. We explain the principle of operation and present experimental results.</P>

        부하평준화 문제에서 국지적 탐색의 효율향상을 위한 이웃해 선정 기법

        일반적으로 국지적 탐색에서 최적해를 획득할 가능성은 가능한 많은 이웃해를 생성하면서 반복 수를 늘릴수록 높아지나 긴 탐색시간이 소요된다. 따라서 한정된 시간 내에 최적해를 효율적으로 찾기 위해서는, 적절한 수의 이웃해를 생성하되, 탐색의 질을 높일 수 있는 이웃해를 선별해서 생성하는 것이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 국지적 탐색기법을 적용하여 부하평준화 문제를 해결할 때, 탐색의 효율을 향상시킬 수 있는 이웃해 선정 기법을 제안하고, 실세계 데이타를 대상으로 그 성능을 검증하였다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 이웃해 선정 기법은 확률적 선별에 기반한 방법으로서, 탐색의 질을 개선시킬 가능성에 대한 추정치를 기준으로 부여된 확률에 따라 이웃해를 선별하여 생성하는 기법이다. 대상 문제에 국지적 탐색기법으로 tabu 탐색과 simulated annealing를 적용한 실험에서, 무작위 또는 그리디 선별에 기반한 방법보다 우수한 성능을 보임을 확인하였다. For a local search algorithm to find a better quality solution it is required to generate and evaluate a sufficiently large number of candidate solutions as neighbors at each iteration, demanding quite an amount of CPU time. This paper presents a method of selectively generating only good-looking candidate neighbors, so that the number of neighbors can be kept low to improve the efficiency of search. In our method, a newly generated candidate solution is probabilistically selected to become a neighbor based on the quality estimation determined heuristically by a very simple evaluation of the generated candidate. Experimental results on the problem of load balancing for production scheduling have shown that our candidate selection method outperforms other random or greedy selection methods in terms of solution quality given the same amount of CPU time.

      • 네트워크 약리학 분석을 통한 뚜렛 증후군에 유용할 것으로 예측되는 한약 자원 탐색

        Objectives: Tourette syndrome (TS) is a disease that occurs evenly in many social classes. Despite the long experience of drug treatment, the preference is low due to various side effects. The aim of this study was to discover herbal medicine resources through network pharmacology analysis predicted to be useful for Tourette syndrome. Methods: We used Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform (TCMSP) to identify herbal medicines that can be used for TS by using network pharmacology research methods and to predict the mechanism of action. After evaluating compounds of each identified herb, molecular target proteins and mechanisms of action were analyzed, focusing on compounds that are likely to exhibit clinical activity in consideration of the pharmacokinetic parameters of these individual compounds. Results: Fifty nine ingredients such as atropine, veraguensin, and nuciferin among the compounds contained in 48 types of medicinal herbs such as Daturae Flos (洋金花), Salviae Radix (丹参), and Nelumbinis Plumula (蓮子心) act on the D(2) dopamine receptor, which is a protein involved in the development of TS. It has been found that atropine, veraguensin, and nuciferin are highly likely to exhibit activity by acting on the G protein-coupled receptor signaling pathway. Conclusions: It can be used in conjunction with non-invasive treatment means such as FCST Yinyang Balancing Appliance with herbal therapy to bring about a significant therapeutic effect, and it will be possible to develop a treatment that can replace drug therapy used in Western medicine.

      • 통신망 트래픽 폭주제어기법을 위한 확장된 가상리키버킷(EVLB) 연구

        현재 ATM망 등 고속의 패킷교환 망에서 폭주제어 방식은 이들의 성능 면에서 중요한 문제로 대두되고 있다. 물론. 기존의 통신망들에서도 자신의 처리 능력이상의 사용자 요구를 처리하기 위해 폭주제어방식을 채택하고 있으나. 망의 입구 또는 중간노드들에서 과다한 처리시간을 요구하므로. 현재의 고속통신망체계에 적용하는데 여러 가지 문제점들을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 현재의 고속패킷통신망에서 야기될 수 있는 폭주상황을 극복하기 위해서. 기존의 망 입구에서 망에 유입되는 패킷들의 양을 조절하기 위한 입력 트래픽의 유입량 완화기법(smoothing schemes)들을 비교 분석하여 이들에 대한 문제점을 파악해 보고. 이를 보강 확장하여 패킷 트래픽의 폭주를 방지할 수 있는 새로운 완화기법(EVLB)을 제안한다. Congestion control is emerging as the important Problem in favor of performance in the packet switching network, such as ATM. Although traditional networks have congestion control mechanism to satisfy with the user's request. even it would be beyond their abilities, there are some problems in the high speed network as a result of being asked to spend too much time at the access node or intermediate nodes. In this paper, to overcome congestion in the high speed network. it would be a first step to find out Problems of traditional smoothing schemes, for controling the amount of packets at the access node. through comparison of them and then we suggest new extended smoothing scheme, EVLB. which could prevent congestion of packet traffic.

      • 멀티캐스트 통신환경을 위한 QoS 관리 모델

        본 논문에서는 멀티캐스트 통신환경을 이용하는 많은 응용들의 다양한 요구들을 효율적으로 관리하기 위한 통합 관리모델 IPME를 제안한다. 이를 위해서, 멀티캐스트 통신환경에서 발생할 수 있는 제어 및 관리에 대한 문제들을 분석한다. 또한 제안된 IPME 구조를 기본으로, 멀티캐스트 통신환경을 이용하는 다자간 응용들에서 매우 중요하고 복잡한 문제인 참여 송수신자들의 서로 다른 QoS요구들이 효율적으로 관리될 수 있도록 하는 모델로 구체화한다. 다음으로, 본 논문은 제안된 QoS 관리모델의 타당성을 검증하기 위해서 멀티캐스트 통신환경을 이용하는 대표적인 다자간 응용인 원격 화상회의 시스템에 적용한다.
