This study was experimentally performed to investigate the heat transfer characteristics in a porous media saturated with water in a vertical rectangular vessel. The goal of this study are to reveal the heat transfer mechanism, to measure the temperature distribution and the mean heat transfer coefficient of the water-saturated porous media for cold thermal storage. The experiments were carried out for a variety of parameter, such as the physical properties of the particles, the diameter of the particles, and the cooling wall temperature. The experimental results help to provide a general understanding of the cold-thermal storage rate within a water-saturated porous media.

As the network works in high speed, TCP/IP pro toe이 loads on the host CPU. Recently, TOE (TCP/IP Offload Engine) which processes TCP/IP on a network adapter instead of host CPU is rising up to the network market to solve the CPU burden. This paper is the design of TCP/IP offloading Engine in 1Gbps network. Especially, our engine is fully offloaded for TCP/IP using two embedded processor and Internet protocol also designed in hardware circuit level. In this paper, we show the hardware design of the Internet protocol and the result can show the satisfaction for 1Gbp network.
