        상엽(桑葉)의 항산화효과 및 3T3-L1 분화시 Cytokine류에 미치는 영향(影響)

        Objectives :The aim of this study was to find out antioxidative effect of Mori Folium and effect on cytokines to 3T3-L1 Cell Lines. Methods : For this purpose, Mori Folium was used for 4 methods, those were DPPH radical scavenging activity, Nitric oxide(NO) radical scavenging activity, Superoxide anion radical scavenging activity and Bovine Serum albumin(BSA). And in order to investigate the effect of Mori Folium on immunologic control function, the various cytokines responses were studied. Results : 1. In experiment on DPPH radical scavenging activity, we experienced that the ability of DPPH radical`s elimination was increased by rising Cocentration of Mori Folium.(CMF). When the CMF was 2.5 mg/ml, the ability of DPPH radical`s elimination was maximum. 2. In experiment on Nitric oxide(NO) radical scavenging activity, we founded that the ability of NO radical`s elimination was increased by rising CMF.. When the CMF was 1.25 mg/ml, the ability of NO radical`s elimination was maximum. 3. We measured level of Superoxide anion radical scavenging activity. And we founded that the ability of Superoxide anion radical`s elimination was maximum when CMF was 0.3125 mg/ml. 4. When we inspected antioxidative effects with BSA, we found that ability of defense was increased by rising CMF. When the CMF was 5 mg/ml, the ability of defense was maximum. 5. In experiment, we measured an effect of Mori Folium on differentiation of 3T3-L1 Preadipocytes and gained the increase of cytokines(IL-2, IL-4, IL-12p70, GM-CSF, INF-γ, TNF-α). Conclusions : Mori Folium (mulberry leaves) exhibited significant antioxidative effects, and have effectiveness on immune system

        비만인과 정상인의 근육둘레비율 및 수분분포와 BMI의 상관성 연구

        Objectives : This study aims to confirm the importance of behavior habit and exercise, especially leg exercise in obese. Methods : Out of 2247 people, we divided 1125 people in normal group(BMI<25) and 1122 people in obese group(BMI.25). We measured each arm, leg, abdomen muscle circumference and right and left water difference using BIA. We Investigated whether ratio of leg muscle circumference to arm and abdomen has differences by statistics between each groups. And analyzed correlation with BMI. We also investigated right and left water distribution difference of two group`s limbs and the correlation with BMI. Statistical analysis was performed by using SPSS program. Results : 1. In obese group, ratio of leg muscle circumference to arm and abdomen is significantly lower than normal group(P<0.001).2. Ratio of leg muscle circumference to arm and abdomen were negatively correlated with BMI(r=-0.461, r=-0.462, P<0.001). And partial correlation coefficient controlled for age and sex is -0.528, -0.632(P<0.001). 3. In the case of women, there was right and left water distribution difference as statistical in leg. In the case of Obese, the difference is serious. Conclusions : These results suggest that exercise and activity of lower limbs is more needed in the field of obesity treatment and prevention.
