      • 대퇴사두근 등척성 훈련후 오버플로우와 교차 훈련 효과의 평가

        The purpose of this study was to determine the overflow effect and cross training effect of isometric quadriceps training that performed in specific angle of unilateral leg. Ten healthy students with an average age of 24 years (24.1±1.3), were participated in this study. Then 5 subjects in each group were chosen at random to train using only right quadriceps muscle two time par day(group 2), five times a week and the other 5 subjects(group 1) were chosen to train one tames per day, five times a week for 2 weeks at only 50 degrees (contract 6 seconds, rest 10 seconds, 3 sets). Before and after the training, isometric quadriceps muscle testing of the bath leg was performed at three different angles, 60 50 and 40 degrees respectively by KIN-COM (isokinetic dynamometer) in sitting position. The data was analyzed with paired t-test to determine significant difference between before and after tratining. In this study, we have found that the isometric quadriceps muscle training on specific angle of right side produced overflow effect in healthy subjects. However, increasing the peak torque of specific angle(training angle) of trained limb did not have an effect an increasing the peak torque of contralateral limb. These results demonstrate that the cross training effect did not found in this study but a slight increase of peak torque of the untrained limb would recognized the possibility of cross training effect.

        Author analysed the result of Handball injuries and physical Terapy of Handbaall player that trained at the Korea National College of Physical Educ-ation. Overall Patients were 33 in numbers. The results are as follows: 1.The injury rate of men was higher than that of women. 2.The most common site of injuries were knee and ankle in frequency. And the most common types of the injuries were strain and sprain. 3.The most common cause of the injuries was overtraining and landing after jump. 4.The rate of injury during the winter and spring was higher than the other seasons. 5.Study for treatment of sprain and strain especially was required to increase te effects of Physical Therapy.

      • 요통 (Low back pain)에 대한 통계적 고찰

        Author researched the results about low back pain patients that treated from Jan. 1988 to July 1989 at the Catholic University Medical College Tae Gue St. Mary's Hospital and another 3 hosp-ital in Tae Gue. Overall patients were 120 in numbers. The outcome of this research are as follows. 1. The complain rate of men(50.85 %) was higher than that of wo-men(49.19 %) 2. The most common diagnosis was the H.N.P. (46.67 %) 3. The most common motion causing the low back pain was the ch-ronic pain( 35 %) 4. The most common segments of the H.N.P. were L 4-5 (50.00%), L5-S1 (28.57%) in sequence 5. The most common kinds of pain was the simple low back pain. ​

        AFO Changes Leg Muscle Activation During Stairs Descending

        This study aims to investigate the effects of ankle foot orthosis(AFO) on the activities of tibialis anterior(TA), soleus(Sol), rectus femoris(RF) and biceps femoris(BF) during stairs descending. The activities of TA, Sol, RF and BF were initially measured while descending 4 stairs without using AFO. The activities of the same muscles were then measured again while descending 4 stairs while using AFO. Wilcoxon signed-rank tests were used to analyze the results in order to examine the differences between the with using AFO and without using AFO. Although the activities of TA, Sol and RF were relatively lower while using AFO than without using AFO, only the differences in Sol and RF activities were significant(p<0.05). The activity of BF was relatively higher while using AFO compared to the activity of BF observed without using AFO. However, difference was not significant(p>0.05). Conclusion of this study was observed since AFO’s ground reaction force absorption during stairs descending reduced the need to use So and RF that is related to shock absorption. BF activity was increased with AFO than without during standing forward to correct the trunk stability.

      • 슬괵근의 길이 변화에 따른 근력 평가에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to analyze the changes of the muscle strength and length according to the changes of evaluation postures. Subjects of this study were 13 male and 13 female students. 6 evaluation postures were selected for this study(K90H90, K90H45, K90H0, K70H90, K70H45, K70H0 : K90=knee 90°flexion, K70=knee 70°flexion, H90=hip 90° flexion, H45=hip 45°flexion, H0=hip 0°). The peak torque and hamstring muscle length(from fibula head to ischial tuberosity) were measured at each postures. The peak torque level was evaluated by make use of the KIN-COM. The results were as follows : 1. The peak torque in male was significantly increased with changes of hip flexion angle but not in female(90°$gt; 45° $gt;0°). 2. The hamstring length and peak torque in male and female was significantly changed according to the alteration of evaluation postures.

      • 대퇴사두근 등척성 운동(QSE)과 전기자극(ES)이 대퇴사두근의 근력 증진에 미치는 효과

        The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of quadriceps setting exercise(N= 10) and electrical stimulation(N= 10) on improvement of quadriceps muscle strength. The experiment were performed for 6weeks. The subject of this study was 20 college students(male) who had not any medical problems. The quadriceps muscle strength was evaluated by make use of the KIN COM(Isokinetic dynamometer). The electrical stimulator was used to stimulate the quadriceps muscle. The results were as follows: 1. The mean increment ratio was 29.6% for concentric muscle strength and 36.4% for eccentric muscle strength after quadriceps setting exercise(p<0.05). 2. The mean increment ratio was 21.2% for concentric muscle strength and 24.3% for eccentric muscle strength after electrical stimulation, but did not significantly higher than pre-electrical stimulation In this study, we have found that quadriceps setting exercise on left side affect the improvement of the muscle strength in college students(male). However, electrical stimulation did not affect on the muscle strength.

      • 연하곤란과 그의 치료 방법에 대한 문헌적 고찰

        Author researched the swallowing difficulty and its normal mechanism. Tongue, cheeks, teeth, larynx, pharynx are related to swal-lowing and therefore, physical therapist must know not only the anatomy and physiology of the mechanism of swallowing but also normal oro-facial function and its treatment. Swallowing difficulty is the most important event of the man-kind especially, in patients that injured C.N.S. But as the swallowing is the complex mechanism we have to cho-ice or combine the treatment. The principles of treatment are strengthen the muscles of or-al region, repeat training of swallowing pattern, muscle re-edu-cation and inhibition or facilitation of reflex action. Of course the most important part of treatment is the evalua-tion of patients. I expect to develop the treatment method of swallowing dif-ficulty, furthermore.

      • 원심성 수축 운동후 지연 된 근육통과 근력 , CPK , ALD 의 상관관계에 대한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to analyze the correlation coefficients between delayed muscle soreness after eccentric exercise, muscle strength, CPK, and ALD. Subjects of this study were 9 male students. CPK, ALD that known as the indicators of muscle damage and eccentric strength of the Lt elbow flexors were measured prior to exercise. After measurements they perform an isokinetic eccentric exercise of flexor group of Lt elbow(10 repetitions 3 bouts) by make use of KIN-COM isokinetic device. After exercise, CPK, ALD, and peak torque of elbow flexor group was measured at the just after exercise, 24hr after, 48hr after, 72hr after. Also muscle soreness level was evaluated at same intervals by make use of VAS(visual analog scale). The results were as follows: 1. There was significant differences of muscle soreness, CPK, ALD, peak torque with the passage of recovery time(p$lt;0.001). 2. There was negative correlation coefficients between CPK and peak torque at 24hr after(p$lt;0.05). 3. There was positive correlation coefficients between ALD and CPK at 24hr after(p$lt;0.05). 4. There was no correlation coefficients between other variables but ALD was the most important factors that can be explains the muscle sor eness very well.
