부모의 이중언어 교육 신념과 이중언어 능력이 중국 조선족 아동의 이중언어 능력에 미치는 영향 -아동 코드 혼용의 매개 효과를 중심으로-

본 연구는 중국 조선족 아동의 이중언어 능력(한국어 능력, 중국어 능력)에 주목하여 부모의 이중언어 교육신념과 이중언어 능력이 아동의 이중언어 능력에 미치는 영향에서 아동의 코드 혼용이 매개 역할을 하는지를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이러한 연구목적에 따라 중국 길림성 소재 6개 조선족 초등학교 3학년에 아동 및 부모 142쌍을 연구 대상으로 선정하였다. 연구 결과, 중국 조선족 부모의 이중언어 교육신념과 이중언어 능력, 아동의 코드 혼용의 일부 세부 유형이 아동의 이중언어 능력에 유의한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 중국 조선족 부모의 이중언어 교육신념과 이중언어 능력은 아동의 코드 혼용을 통해 아동의 이중언어 능력에 간접적으로 유의한 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 이러한 연구 결과를 통해 중국 조선족 부모의 이중언어 교육신념과 이중언어 능력이 아동의 이중언어 능력에 미친다는 점을 확인하였다. 따라서 본 연구는 아동의 이중언어 발달을 촉진하기 위한 부모의 적극적인 개입과 이를 지원할 다양한 정책 마련에 근거를 제공한다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 또한 아동의 코드 혼용의 매개 효과를 검증함으로써 이중언어 능력을 향상시키는 메커니즘에 대한 시사점을 제공한다. The purpose of this study is to investigate themediating role of codemixing in the relationship between parental beliefs towardbilingual education, parents’ bilingual proficiency, and children’s bilingualproficiency. A sample of 142 pairs of Korean-Chinese third graders and their parentsparticipated in this research. The results revealed that parental beliefs towardbilingual education, parents’ bilingual proficiency, and children’s codemixing werepositively associated with children’s bilingual proficiency. Furthermore, the effectsof parental beliefs toward bilingual education and parents’ bilingual proficiency onthe children’s bilingual proficiency were partially mediated by children’scodemixing. These findings highlight the crucial role of parental factors onchildren’s bilingual development, suggesting that family interventions should beincorporated into the process of children’s bilingual acquisition. By examining themediating role of children’s codemixing, this study provides valuable insight intothe mechanism for improving bilingual proficiency in children.

고등학생의 제 2언어 동기적 자아가 영어학습전략을 매개로 영어성취도에 미치는 영향: 일반고와 특목고의 비교

The purpose of the study is to compare the impact of L2 Motivational Self, ideal L2 self and ought-to L2 self, on English achievement with a mediating role of English learning strategies with a focus on the types of high schools(both general high school and special purpose high school). A total of 518 high school students from five major cities/provinces participated in this study and completed questionnaires. The results are as follows. First, students from special purpose high schools scored significantly higher in ideal L2 self, English learning strategies and English achievement than students from general high schools. Second, both high schools demonstrated the same in which ideal L2 self affected English achievement through the mediating role of English learning strategies but the degree of impact was different. Instead, ought-to L2 self only affected students from general high school. Ought-to L2 self increased English achievement and English learning strategies played a full mediating effect. The study identified the relationships between L2 Motivational Self and English learning and reaffirmed the importance of ideal L2 self. The study also suggests that ought-to L2 self should not always be underestimated since it supports some students.
