        A village grove is a small forest preserved and maintained around a village and it can be said to be manifestation of life of people in the village. Village groves are classed by their locations and functions. They are scenic element and have functions of health and recreation, but they have been neglected, damaged and perished. To understand the use of village groves in developed countries, we studied some cases through literatures.12 villages including 3 villages in the east coast, 3 in the west coast and 6 in the south coast, were surveyed for shape and size of seaside groves, types and number and diameter of breast height of trees. And village people were also surveyed for status of use and management of village grove, and intent to use. Most of village groves surveyed were located at shores in linear or hilly forms, and size was 763~19,800㎡ and main species of trees were pine and black pine. The result of surveys of village people showed that people thought of village groves simply as a place for resting, and they made an issue of the status of management of facilities and plants, and financial support, and they wanted their village groves to be developed and used as tourist attractions. In conclusion, an effort should be made to preserve beautiful coastal scenery through efficient control of scenic elements and maintaining traditions and history of villages, and it is necessary to find a way to manage village groves efficiently as a part of regional development on the basis of medium-and-long-term plans.

        농촌마을 농특산물 포장디자인 개선을 위한 샤렛 개발 및 효과- 재능기부디자이너들의 의식변화를 중심으로 -

        In these days, agricultural products are regarded as a core income source in tourism villages. Nevertheless, poor packaging of agricultural products has threatened the competitiveness and quality of products. For farmers, it is less likely to employ individual designer for developing and improving their packages due to low accessability to rural villages and budgets. Based on this background, this study conducted ‘Charrette’ in order to improve agricultural product packaging. The target village was ‘Goraday’ in Gangwon province. This study consisted of different steps for building and implementing proper ‘Charrette’ programs. Then, it also conducted empirical investigation about the effectiveness and efficiency of ‘Charrette’. ‘Charrette’ has made progress as follows; first step was concerned with advance preparation for constructing program. Second, implementation of ‘Charratte’ included data collection and analysis, and development of design. Third, evaluation and feedback stage have given presentation and discussion about suggested design with local residents. Empirical investigation about the effectiveness and efficiency of ‘Charrette’ has been composed with survey and interview targeting participants. In survey and interviews, designers were asked about their attitudinal changes in relation to knowledge, recognition, function, motivation, and satisfaction toward ‘Charrette’ and ‘agricultural product package design’ before and after participating the event. The results showed that knowledge and perception of designers toward ‘agricultural product package design’ have positively increased. In addition, it revealed that designers were satisfied with collaborations with others and their contribution to rural community business. However, the results also suggested that sufficient preparation time/schedules and opportunity to meet other and farmers before events would be required to have better communication and understanding in relation to their tasks and role distribution. Furthermore, it is also required for designers to hold relationship with local community in order to actualize their packaging design.

      • 농촌관광마을 직거래 활성화를 위한 농특산품 전시판매시설의 유니버설 디자인 특성 분석

        최근 정부에서는 농산물 유통구조 개선을 통한 신선한 농산물의 저렴한 공급을 위한 대책으로 「지역농산물 이용촉진 등 농산물 직거래 활성화에 관한 법률」을 제정하고, 관계하여 직거래 활성화 기본계획과 우수 직거래사업장 인증제 등을 추진하고 있다. 본 연구는 농촌관광마을 농특산품 전시판매시설 디자인 방안 모색을 위해 현재 활발히 운영 중인 농산물 직거래 판매시설의 디자인 현주소를 파악하고, 다양한 소비자층의 확보를 위한 유니버설디자인 적용 실태를 파악하여 특성을 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 연구내용은 선두적 사례지로 선정한 10개소 농산물 직거래 판매시설에 대한 디자인 현황조사 결과 50개 항목을 도출하고, 항목에 대한 UD분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과를 살펴보면, 국내 농산물 직거래 판매시설은 심미성(UD9), 효율성(UD2), 정보성(UD3)순으로 적용도가 높게 나타나 상업적 공간으로서 소비자에게 소구하고, 판매자의 작업 편의를 고려한 디자인을 조성한 것으로 판단되며, 적용도가 낮게 분석된 안전성(UD4), 위생성(UD7)에 대한 고려는 법적 준수 사항 등을 고려하여 엄격히 재검토할 필요가 있겠다. 한편, 본 연구에서 분석한 유니버설디자인 원칙별 빈도수가 20% 미만으로 낮았으며 최빈값 또한 50%를 넘지 못하는 것으로 나타나 국내에서 선두에 있는 농산물 직거래 판매시설임에도 전반적으로 유니버설디자인 적용도가 아직은 미흡한 수준으로 판단된다. 본 연구의 결과는 다양한 소비층을 확보하고, 소비자를 배려하는 농촌관광마을 농특산품 전시판매시설 조성을 위한 디자인가이드라인 개발의 기초자료로 기여할 수 있으며, 농산물 직거래 판매시설에 맞춰 재구축한 UD분석틀은 추후 농촌관광마을 농특산품 전시판매시설의 디자인을 평가하는데 활용할 수 있을 것이다. 다만, 본 연구는 전문가 관점에서 디자인 평가를 실시하여, 실제 사용자인 소비자 의식을 이해하는 데 한계가 있으므로, 이를 보완하는 후속연구가 요구된다. Recently, as enacted the law of agricultural direct transactions, it is demanded to study about sales facilities for direct farm market. This is the base study for the policy implement for activation of direct farm market and improvement of agricultural products marketing structure. This study aims 1) to grasp the design status of sales facilities for Direct Farm Market and 2) to analyze the design items by Universal Design principles. Therefore, design status investigation was carried out about 10 leading cases of sales facilities for direct farm market. And then Universal Design framework was adjusted to direct farm market for analysis of characteristics. Finally, 50 items of design status developed by the investigation was analyzed in accordance with Universal Design Principles. As a result, this study suggests the characteristics of sales facilities for direct farm market identified with esthetics > efficiency > informative. But, it was established that safety and hygiene were applied to low the sales facilities. Through this results, this study would be provided the framework for an analysis of sales facilities for direct farm market and expected to contribute developing the design guideline for direct farm market.
