      • Quick BASIC을 이용한 탄산염 시스템 모델(CSM)개발

        Carbonate system in water is very important to calculate solution composition during water treatment operations where strong acids or bases are added to carbonate-bearing waters, to assess p and solution composition when acidic wastes are discharged to receiving waters, and to calculate the pH and solution composition at various stages of the alkalinity and acidity titrations. To understand this system more easily and to help water quality management and control, Carbonate System Model(CSM) using Quick BASIC is developed. CSM is mainly composed of three main parts, MAIN MENU, PROCESSOR MENU and POST-PROCESSOR MENU. in MAIN Menu, open and closed systems can be selected and in PROCESSOR MENU, equilibrium pH and solution composition are calculated with the input values of MAIN MENU. In POST-PROCESSOR MENU, the results are produced in three different ways, i.e, screen, printer and graphical display Running this model demonstrates that CSM becomes a very useful tool to understand carbonate system in water body and it can be also used to educational purpose for under-graduate and graduate students.
