Nanoemulsion absorbents with better efficiency than the conventional absorbents are prepared. Based on the prepared absorbents, absorption and regeneration performances of CO₂ are evaluated. Methanol is chosen as the continuous phase, and undecane is selected as the dispersion phase. Surfactants, Span 60 and Tween 60, are added considering the HLB value. To find the best effective concentration, 0.005~0.5 vol% of absorbents are prepared. The absorption experiment is conducted until the absorbent has reached its saturation point. The regeneration experiment is carried out until the absorbent temperature reaches 58℃. Experimental results show that the optimum concentration of undecane is 0.05 vol%.
