The diesel engine carries the high efficiency and high fuel economy. On the other hand, The harmful material according to the combustion is the nitric oxide and particulate matter emission. Each country intensifies the exhaust regulation of the diesel engine gradually in order to solve the environmental pollution problem. PM sensor developed in this work is a low-cost systems without precious metals in a simple structure consisting of metal oxide electrode and low-cost porous ceramic with a gas-permeable, with a heater. In Present, the possibility of usage for PM sensor was confirmed through PM sensor made the porosity YSZ and verifies the porosity, ion conductance, and electrical characteristic according to PM oxidation capacity experimently.
