VANET 환경에서 차량 안전 서비스를 위한 경쟁 기반 브로드캐스트 기법의 성능 분석

In recent years, with the introduction of intelligent vehicle technology, the vehicle system for enhancing driver safety is rapidly evolving from the existing Passive Vehicle Safety System to Active Vehicle Safety system, e.g., Co-operative Collision Warning (CCW). Vehicular Ad-hoc NETworks (VANETs) are considered as the most suitable wireless communication system targeted to support vehicular safety applications. In VANET environment, contention-based schemes are suggested in order to mitigate broadcast storm problem. These schemes determine re-broadcasting nodes by contention among the nodes receiving safety message. In this paper, we perform the evaluation of the existing contention-based schemes by applying two types of highway scenarios. The simulation results show that the DDB1 and slotted 1-persistence are perform better than pure flooding and weighted p-persistence in terms of message delivery latency, message delivery ratio and message re-broadcasting ratio.
