The post injection effect to enhance aftertreatment devices' performance is essential to meet future stringent emission standards by controlling exhaust gas temperature. The study has been made with single cylinder common rail diesel engine with varying injection duration and start of injection to take the basic data on exhaust gas temperature profile. The data measurements at 750, 1000, 1250 and 1500(rpm] with 24, 26,28 and 30 A/F are taken by changing post injection duration and timing, while keeping main injection 30 A/F and 4[℃A, BIDC] for data consistency. The major purpose of this test is dedicated to feasible exhaust gas temperature rise in normal operating engine speeds, especially low speeds, which for tile base study of exhaust pollutants reduction.<br/>
