Tire modal dynamic research is necessary to enhance the ride and to reduce the noise. Usually tire modal dynamic analysis to obtain tire modal characteristics has considered a tire only so far. But a realistic dynamic system consists of a tire, wheel and suspension assembly. Therefore, it is required to develop the coupled tire/suspension finite element model. For modeling a suspension, information of the geometry and the property of a suspension is gained through using reference papers. Then, tire and suspension model is assembled for modal analysis. Based upon this model, suspension modes and responses below 50Hz are calculated through natural frequency and random response analysis by a finite element method.
