A study on the expansibility of sound-responsive visual art contents

The relationship between sound and vision was experimentally confirmed by physicist Ernst Florens Friedrich Chladni as early as the 18th century and formally entered into systematic research. With the development of emerging media technology, sound reactive type visual content is not limited to a single visual interaction based on the vibration of sound, and its visual content shows a diversified and scalable development trend according to different purposes in many fields. This study analyzes the development and changes of sound visual art contents from early stage to modernization, and analyzes the development characteristic of sound visual art content in different fields and scene environments influence by interactive media, new media technologies and devices by means of case analysis. Through this research, it is expected that the sound reactive type visual art content can continue to develop and extend in the existing fields, while explore the scalability of the application of sound reactive type visual art content in more fields.
'겨울왕국 2' 여성 캐릭터의 성격과 조형 디자인 특징 분석

디즈니 애니메이션은 미국의 문화와 예술의 일부라고 할 수 있다. 미국의 사회·문화의 변화에 따라 디즈니 애니메이션에 등장하는 여성 캐릭터의 성격과 사회적 위상의 변화를 볼 수 있다. 특히 2000년 이후에 발표된 디즈니 애니메이션 작품에서는 여성과 남성의 사회적 능력과 지위에 대하여 대등 또는 평등하게 표현된 수많은 작품이 발표되었다. 본 연구에서는 20세기와 21세기 여성 캐릭터의 특징을 비교하고 <겨울왕국2>의 은유적인 방법으로 여성 이미지를 표현한 엘사와 안나의 캐릭터를 분석하였다. 또한 의상 및 색채의 다양한 스타일링의 특징과 의미를 연구하였다. 본 논문은 여성 캐릭터의 성평등 이미지 구축 시 필요한 디자인 요소를 제시하였으며 향후 애니메이션 산업계와 학계에 유용한 연구자료로 활용되길 기대한다. Disney animation can be said to be part of American culture and art. With the changes in American society and culture, we can see the changes in the personality and social status of female characters in Disney animation. Especially in the Disney animation works published after 2000, many works showing equality in the social abilities and status of women and men have been published. In this study, the characteristics of female characters of the 20th century and the 21st century is compared and analyzed the characters of Elsa and Anna, who expressed the female image in a metaphorical way of 'Frozen 2'. And studied the characteristics and meanings of clothing and colorful shapes. This paper reveals the design elements needed to construct a gender-equality image of female characters, and hopes that it will become a useful research material for the animation industry and academia in the future.

게임산업 OSMU모델의 발전으로 중국에서 가장 인기가 높은 3D 모바일 게임 '왕자영요'는 게임 자체의 엔터테인먼트 효과 외에, 근년에 홍보 애니메이션 영상 콘텐츠의 제작을 더욱 중시하고 있다. 거대한 애니메이션 시장은 모바일 게임 <왕자영요>에 풍부한 게임 수익과 함께 많은 신규 이용자들이 발생하고 있다. 본 논문은 <왕자영요> 공식 스토리 스테이션 내 30개의 CG 홍보 애니메이션 단편영화에 대한 조사를 통해 최근에 가장 인기 있는 게임 홍보 애니메이션 <목표>와 <불야장안>을 선정하였고, 애니메이션의 특징 분석으로는 풍부한 스토리, 화려한 장면의 특수효과 등 중요 요소들에 대해 정리하였다. 본 논문연구를 통해 게임 산업에서 홍보용 애니메이션 콘텐츠의 중요성을 파악하였으며, 또한 이를 통해 게임 산업과 애니메이션 산업의 동반성장을 기대할 수 있으며 게임시장의 높은 수익을 창출하는 방법 중 하나임을 알 수 있었다. With the development of OSMU mode in the game industry, the most popular 3D mobile game 'Honour Of Kings' in China, in addition to the entertainment effects of the game itself, has paid more attention to the production of promotional animation video contents in recent years. The huge animation market is generating abundant game revenue for 'Honour Of Kings'. This paper selected the most popular game promotional animations 'MU BIAO' and 'Bu Ye Chang'an' through a survey of 30 CG promotional animation in the official story station of 'Honour of Kings'. Important elements such as rich stories and the special effects of the gorgeous scenes, etc are summarized. Through the research of this paper, grasped the importance of promotional animation content in the game industry, and can expect the common growth of the game industry and the animation industry, which is one of the ways to create high profits in the game market.
Lived Experience among Patients Newly Diagnosed with Lung Adenocarcinoma Stage IV within One Year

Background: lung cancer (LC) is the fifth of the 10 leading causes of death in the world. LC is in first place for cancer-related mortality for both males and females in Taiwan. It is one of the most difficult cancers to treat and is often diagnosed at a late stage. Patients with stage IV are often unprepared for the diagnosis. Materials and Methods: To explore lived experience among patients newly diagnosed with lung adenocarcinoma stage IV within one year. Results: Twelve participants were recruited in this study. Content analysis of the interviews revealed four themes: (1) emotional roller coaster, (2) trying to find out causes, (3) adjusting my lifestyle, and (4) cancer fighter. Conclusions: This study provides new insight into the experiences of lung cancer patients y with newly diagnosed lung adenocarcinoma stage 4. These results will inform future supportive care service development and intervention research for patients with advanced stage cancer.
Reevaluating the overhead of data preparation for asymmetric multicore system on graphics processing

As processor design has been transiting from homogeneous multicore processor to heterogeneous multicore processor, traditional Amdahl`s law cannot meet the new challenges for asymmetric multicore system. In order to further investigate the impact factors related to the Overhead of Data Preparation (ODP) for Asymmetric multicore systems, we evaluate an asymmetric multicore system built with CPU-GPU by measuring the overheads of memory transfer, computing kernel, cache missing and synchronization. This paper demonstrates that decreasing the overhead of data preparation is a promising approach to improve the whole performance of heterogeneous system.

<P>Electronic bipolar resistance switching (eBRS) in an Al/TiOx/Al structure, where the TiOx layer was reactively sputter-deposited, was examined in conjunction with a structural analysis using transmission electron microscopy. A thin (3-5 nm) insulating Al(Ti)O-x layer was formed at the bottom Al electrode interface, which provided the necessary asymmetric potential barrier for the eBRS to emerge, whereas the top Al electrode interface appeared to have provided the fluent carrier (electron) injection. The set and reset switching were related to the trapping and detrapping of the carriers at the trap centers, the characteristic energy of which was similar to 0.86 eV, across the entire electrode area. The general features of this material system as the feasible RS memory were insufficient: endurance cycle, <similar to 8000, and retention time at 85 degrees C, 10(6) s. However, the detailed analysis of the switching behavior based on the space-charge limited current conduction mechanism, and its variation with the switching cycles, provided useful information on the general features of the eBRS, which could also be applicable to other binary (or even ternary) metal-oxide RS systems based on the electronic switching mechanism.</P>
Genetic Architecture of Circulating Very-Long-Chain (C24:0 and C22:0) Ceramide Concentrations

Objective: Total ceramide concentrations are linked with increased insulin resistance and cardiac dysfunction. However, recent studies have demonstrated that plasma concentrations of specific very-long-chain fatty ceramides (C24:0 and C22:0) are associated with a reduced incidence of coronary heart disease and all-cause mortality. We hypothesized that specific genetic loci are associated with plasma C22:0 and C24:0 concentrations. Methods: Heritability and genome-wide association studies of plasma C24:0 and C22:0 ceramide concentrations were performed among 2,217 participants in the Framingham Heart Study Offspring Cohort, adjusting for cardiovascular risk factor covariates and cardiovascular drug treatment. Results: The multivariable-adjusted heritability for C22:0 and C24:0 ceramides was 0.42 (standard error [SE], 0.07; p=1.8E-9) and 0.25 (SE, 0.08; p=0.00025), respectively. Nineteen single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), all on chromosome 20, significantly associated with C22:0 concentrations; the closest gene to these variants was SPTLC3. The lead SNP (rs4814175) significantly associated with 3% lower plasma C22:0 concentrations (p=2.83E-11). Nine SNPs, all on chromosome 20 and close to SPTLC3, were significantly associated with C24:0 ceramide concentrations. All 9 were also significantly related to plasma C22:0 levels. The lead SNP (rs168622) was significantly associated with 10% lower plasma C24:0 ceramide concentrations (p=9.94E-09). Conclusion: SNPs near the SPTLC3 gene, which encodes serine palmitoyltransferase long chain base subunit 3 (SPTLC3; part of the enzyme that catalyzes the rate-limiting step of de novo sphingolipid synthesis) were associated with plasma C22:0 and C24:0 ceramide concentrations. These results are biologically plausible and suggest that SPTLC3 may be a potential therapeutic target for C24:0 and C22:0 ceramide modulation.
