몽골 전통악기 ‘야탁’ 교육 연구 -『야탁교본』을 통한 교육을 중심으로 -

The purpose of this study is to find out the necessity and importance of the textbooks as one of the methodologies to enable the education in Yatag, a Mongolian traditional musical instrument, more effectively in the general educational institutions, and to study how to systemize Yatag education utilizing the textbooks. For this purpose, this study analyzed the existing textbooks and reinforced the complementary points, and newly developed “Yatag tutorial textbook” of originality according to the level of students’, in which the textbooks were incorporated and tested in actual teaching fields at multiple schools. In order to measure the effectiveness of the developed textbook, a survey was conducted before and after utilizing the textbook. The contents of questionnaire were composed of five sections; perceptions on music education, evaluations on music teachings in general, understandings on music textbooks, perceptions on traditional Mongolian music education, and current condition of learning education for learners. The results were analyzed using statistical models. Through the analysis, we found that students' perceptions were improved in all five areas after the education with textbooks. Through in-depth interviews and written surveys, some learners described that they had positive musical psychological effects. This study suggests that textbooks are needed to teach Yatag more systematically and effectively in institutions, and schools should pay attention to create an environment conducive to traditional music education. Furthermore, the research and development of the textbooks for the development and universalization of Mongolian traditional music along with the Yatag education should be continued. 본 연구는 몽골전통악기 ‘야탁’ 교육을 보편 교육기관에서 보다 효과적으로 실시할 수 있도록 하는 방법론의 하나로 교본의 필요성과 중요성을 밝히고, 교본을 통하여 어떻게 야탁교육을 체계화 할 수 있는가에 관한 연구이다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 기존 야탁교본들을 분석하고 보완점을 보강하여 연구도구로써 학생들의 눈높이에 맞춰서『야탁교본』을 개발하고 교육에 적용하였으며, 이에 관한 교육효과 측정을 위해 교본을 통한 야탁교육상황을 교육전과 후로 나누어 학습자들의 의견을 설문조사방법으로 비교 고찰하였다. 설문내용은 크게 5가지 항목으로써, 음악교육에 관한 인식, 음악수업 전반에 관한 자주적 평가, 음악교재와 교본에 관한 인식, 몽골전통음악교육에 관한 인식, 학습자의 음악교육환경과 상황에 관한 인식으로 구성하였으며, 이에 대한 응답을 통계적 방법으로 분석하였다. 그 결과 교육 전과 후 전체 영역 모두에서 학습자의 전반적 음악교육인식이 향상되었음을 알 수 있었으며, 심층면접과 서면 조사를 통하여 몇몇 학습자는 악기를 연주하는 동안 ‘마음이 편안해 진다.’ 등의 음악심리효과를 경험했다는 것도 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통한 논의로, 보편교육기관에서의 ‘야탁’ 교육을 보다 체계적이고 효과적으로 지도하기 위해서는 교본이 필요하며 학교 기관에서는 전통음악교육에 관한 환경 마련과 개선에도 관심을 기울여야 한다고 판단된다. 따라서 야탁교육과 함께 몽골전통음악의 발전과 보편화를 위한 교본의 연구와 개발, 이에 따른 적용은 지속되어져야할 것이다.

본 연구는 현 몽골 정부의 교육 정책과 몽골 초 · 중 교육기관에 대한 음악교육 표준안에 포함된 몽골전통음악교육 지침을 검토하고, 이 정책이 2014년에 개정된 몽골의 일반 초등교육기관 교과서에서 어떻게 반영되었는지에 대한 분석을 중심으로 몽골 전통음악교육의 현황을 고찰한 것이다. 몽골의 초중등학생에 대해 전통음악 학습을 강화하는 정책은 2007년 발의된 ‘새천년개발목표’에서 본격적으로 시작되었으며, 현 정부의 2012년 액션플랜 중 교육개혁 정책에서도 중요시 되고 있다. 이러한 정책을 2014년 개정된 몽골 일반초등학교 음악 교과서를 통하여 검토한 결과 몽골 초등교육기관의 전통음악 교육은 민요 감상과 전통악기 연주 등 학생들의 접근이 용이한 부분부터 시작하여, 학생들이 전통음악에 친숙해질 수 있도록 민요와 율동을 함께 하는 체험 학습을 통해 진행하고 있음이 검토되었다. 특히 감상과 가창 부분에서는 몽골의 유목전통생활과 몽골의 대표 가축들을 가사에 실어 표현한 민요를 주로 담았으며, 소수민족의 전통 민요를 각 민족 별로 분배 및 배치하였다는 점이 주목된다. 소수민족의 전통 민요는 학년 마다 수록되어 있음을 확인 할 수 있는데, 몽골의 소수민족의 전통음악을 초등학교 저학년 때부터 자연스럽게 습득하도록 하였다는 점에서 몽골 전통문화의 정체성을 포괄적으로 포함하는 음악교육을 수행하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통한 논의로, 초등교육기관에서의 전통음악 교육을 보다 체계적이며 효과적으로 지도하기 위해서는 몽골 전통음악을 지도하는 교사에게도 전통음악 교안의 작성 및 교수법 훈련을 통한 질적 향상이 필요하며, 전통음악 전문가 양성에 대해서도 관심을 기울여야 한다고 판단된다. 또한 전통음악교육의 부흥에 대한 프로그램과 개혁안은 지속적인 시행을 통해 중장기적으로 이루어져야 할 것이다. The aim of the presentation is, based on the analysis of the Mongolian Government education policy and standard of the Mongolian elementary and middle school music education, to explore the current situation of Mongolian folk music education by making the study on the policy of Mongolian folk music, analyzing the reflection of renewed policy documents in 2014 for the music text book of the Mongolian elementary school. The policy of the folk music education for the student at elementary and middle school of Mongolia has started by stating in the Millennium Development Goal which approved in 2007 and it is also significantly included in the action plan of current government especially in the education policy part. By studying these policies through the newly revised text book of Mongolian elementary school in 2014, the training method of the Mongolian elementary school is starting from the easy steps such as a listening the folk songs, playing the instruments and learning folk songs and dances to be closer with the folk music. Especially, it took the attention that the listening session consists of the folk songs with the word of expressing Mongolian nomadic life and also learning the different clan folk songs respectively. Teaching the different clan folk songs at each elementary class is included in the class agenda and it can be concluded that teaching the folk songs from the elementary class can fully cover the music education of Mongolian traditional culture. To be more systematically and efficiently teaching the elementary music education, it is important to design the exclusive class program for the teachers and improve the quality of class and preparing the professionals of folk music. Further, it is necessary that folk song education and program restoring should be maintained and implemented for the medium and long run.
