애플의 아이폰(iPhone)으로 시작된 스마트폰의 인기는 휴대전화가 단순히 음성통화를 위한 도구가 아닌, 엔터테인먼트 도구로서 많은 이들에게 인식의 전환을 가져오는 계기가 되었으며, 이는 자연스럽게 관련 시장의 확장을 가져오게 되었다. 그간 여가시간을 즐기는 하나의 문화로 영역을 확장, 콘텐츠 산업의 한 축으로서 성장해 온 게임 산업 역시 그 중요성을 인식, 기존의 개발사를 포함한 많은 신규 개발사들이 이 시장에 진입하여 다양한 게임들을 제작, 출시하고 있는 상황이다. 본 연구는 자신의 농장이나 마을을 꾸미고 가꾸는 종류의 게임들을 통칭하는 팜류(farm game)게임에 놀이동산과 캐릭터인 봉제 곰을 접목, 모바일게임에 적용가능한 시각적 콘텐츠를 제안하는 컨셉작품논문이다. 이를 위해 먼저 디자인 컨셉을 발전시킬 수 있는 기준을 설정하고 이것을 전개, 확립한 후, 실질적인 시각이미지를 제작하는 일련의 과정들을 기록하였다. 덧붙여 PC온라인게임이나 콘솔(console)게임과 비교하여 상대적으로 적은 규모로 게임 개발이 가능한 지금의 모바일 환경에서, 대학교내의 소규모 인원으로 실무현장에 적용할 수 있는 디자인콘텐츠를 제작, 제안해봄으로서 대학교가 중심이 된 산학협동의 한 예로서 의의를 가진다고 할 수 있다. Apple’s iPhone has been a trigger of transitional concept and product design, not only the technical tool for voice communication but also the tool for entertainment device, and this transition brought the growth of the relevant market business as well. Also Game industry, which has mainly developed for both entertaining culture and virtual content business, has been noticed the importance of the current transition, and it has been producing various types of game genre upon the transition. This study is a research project that propose the visual game contents for mobile game, and the goal of project is to create various rides which is characterized with a rag bear doll for farm game which users make own theme park. For this, it records how a small group at the university organize and progress the project from design concept to final visual work that could be applied to mobile game as game content. In addition, this recording of the process could be a meaningful example as academic-industrial collaboration in current mobile environments.
