Optical Pipelined Multi-bus Interconnection Network Intrinsic Topologies

Digital all-optical parallel computing is an important research direction and spans conventional devices and convergent nano-optics deployments. Optical bus-based interconnects provide interesting aspects such as relative information communication speed-up or slow-down between optical signals. This aspect is harnessed in the newly proposed All-Optical Linear Array with a Reconfigurable Pipelined Bus System (OLARPBS) model. However, the physical realization of such communication interconnects needs to be considered. This paper considers spatial layouts of processing elements along with the optical bus light paths that are necessary to realize the corresponding interconnection requirements. A metric in terms of the degree of required physical constraint is developed to characterize the variety of possible solutions. Simple algorithms that determine spatial layouts are given. It is shown that certain communication interconnection structures have associated intrinsic topologies.

The visualization process is a transformation of information content into knowledge via a visual representation. Visualization experience, proposed herein, reflects human sensations arising during the visualization process. It provides a basis in which to objectively measure and evaluate human participation in the visualization process; and thereby provides methods of control. Visualization experience modeling allows leveraging on the natural environment to augment understanding, therefore improve decision making. The application emphasis in this paper is on the theoretical development of visualization experience in the visualization process as applied to Ambient Assisted Living and Clinical Decision Support Systems.

The Pulse Coupling Oscillator (PCO) is a synchronicity model inspired by nature. However, the PCO model has some limitations. The Fast PCO model is proposed in this paper. It addresses the problem of the phase swing actions in the original PCO model. Benefits are the fast synchronicity speed and associated energy saving.

In this paper, we make a detailed study about the routing related energy consumption problem in Wireless Sensor Networks. Based on this study, we present the selection criterion of the intermediate nodes so as to make the routing problem energy-efficient. Experimental results are provided with reasonable verification.
An Analysis Method for Dynamical System

This paper provides a method to analyze the dynamical system. It considers the fact of realistic delay in dynamical system analysis for the first time. The method uses timeline and state space to emulate the inhibitive coupling nodes evolving procedure in transmission delayed environment. The resultant finite state machine shows the system predictability and hardware implementation feasibility.
