GROUND STATE SIGN-CHANGING SOLUTIONS FOR A CLASS OF SCHRÖDINGER-POISSON-KIRCHHOFF TYPEPROBLEMS WITH A CRITICAL NONLINEARITY IN ℝ3

Qian, Aixia,Zhang, Mingming Korean Mathematical Society 2021 대한수학회지 Vol.58 No.5

In the present paper, we are concerned with the existence of ground state sign-changing solutions for the following Schrödinger-Poisson-Kirchhoff system $$\;\{\begin{array}{lll}-(1+b{\normalsize\displaystyle\smashmargin{2}{\int\nolimits_{{\mathbb{R}}^3}}}{\mid}{\nabla}u{\mid}^2dx){\Delta}u+V(x)u+k(x){\phi}u={\lambda}f(x)u+{\mid}u{\mid}^4u,&&\text{in }{\mathbb{R}}^3,\\-{\Delta}{\phi}=k(x)u^2,&&\text{in }{\mathbb{R}}^3,\end{array}$$ where b > 0, V (x), k(x) and f(x) are positive continuous smooth functions; 0 < λ < λ1 and λ1 is the first eigenvalue of the problem -∆u + V(x)u = λf(x)u in H. With the help of the constraint variational method, we obtain that the Schrödinger-Poisson-Kirchhoff type system possesses at least one ground state sign-changing solution for all b > 0 and 0 < λ < λ1. Moreover, we prove that its energy is strictly larger than twice that of the ground state solutions of Nehari type.

Brain Imaging Study on the Pathogenesis of Depression & Therapeutic Effect of Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors

        Meng Qi,Zhang Aixia,Cao Xiaohua,Sun Ning,Li Xinrong,Zhang YunQiao,Wang Yanfang 대한신경정신의학회 2020 PSYCHIATRY INVESTIGATION Vol.17 No.7

Objective Predefining the most effective treatment for patients with depressive disorders remains a problem. We will examine the differential brain regions of gray matter (GM) in major depressive disorder (MDD) patients and the relationship between changes in their volume and the efficacy of early antidepressant treatment using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).Methods 159 never-medicated patients with first-episode MDD and 53 normal control subjects (NCs) were enrolled. The brains were scanned by MRI and measured with the 17-item Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD-17) at baseline and after 2 weeks of treatment with selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI)s, and the non-responder group and responder group were obtained. The patients were analyzed by voxel-based morphological (VBM) and SPSS software. Receiver operator characteristics (ROC) analysis was performed for the difference between the responder group and the non-responder group in the differential brain regions, and Pearson correlations were computed between volume size and HAMD score reduction rate. Results Smaller GM volume of the right superior temporal gyrus (STG), and the orbital parts of the right medial frontal gyrus and right inferior frontal gyrus were observed in MDD versus the NCs. The non-responder group demonstrated a significant volume reduction at the right STG compared with the responders, but no corresponding change in orbital part of right medial frontal gyrus and right inferior frontal gyrus. ROC analysis showed that Accuracy=71.2%. There was a positive correlation between the STG gray matter volume and the HAMD-17 score reduction rate (r=0.347, p=0.002).Conclusion The study results confirmed the local changes in brain structure in MDD and may initially predict the early treatment response produced by SSRIs as antidepressants.

Fabrication Tough and Electrically Conductive Graphene-Based Nanocomposite Gels with Self-Oscillating Performance

        Jie Ren,Xuemiao Wang,Aixia Zhang,Lan Zhang,Lingling Zhao,Yan Li,Wu Yang 한국고분자학회 2020 Macromolecular Research Vol.28 No.13

Stimulus-responsive polymer gel materials were studied and applied widely in many fields in recent years. However, the poor electrically conductive property and even with poor toughness largely limit their extensive applications in more expanded fields. Herein, we report a novel kind of self-oscillating gels poly(acrylamide-coacrylic acid-co-Fe(phen)3)/reduced graphene oxide (poly(AM-co-AC-co-Fe(phen)3)/ RGO) with excellent electrical conductivity, and compressive strength via an in-situ polymerization accompanied by an ultrasonic assisted method. The dispersed reduced graphene oxide (RGO) improved the conductive and mechanical properties of the prepared materials remarkably. The conductivity of gel reached to 16.88 S·m-1 with the content of 0.34 wt% RGO and the maximum fracture pressure was 4.1 MPa, which is as high as human cartilage. Besides, the prepared gels exhibited the self-oscillating behavior in the Belousov-Zhabotinsky (BZ) solution free of catalyst. Therefore, the prepared materials have potential applications as artificial cartilage and soft electron instrument.

Sintering densification and properties of Al2O3/Al cermet materials via powder metallurgy method

        Jieguang Song,Yue Liu,Cailiang Pang,Jia Zhang,Lin Chen,Xiling Zhang,Songlin Guo,Xianzhong Wang,Ruihua Wang,Aixia Chen 한양대학교 세라믹연구소 2018 Journal of Ceramic Processing Research Vol.19 No.2

Cermet materials are important new engineering materials with combined advantages of ceramics and metals. In this study,Al2O3/Al cermet materials were prepared through powder metallurgy. The effect of sintering technology on the properties ofAl2O3/Al cermet materials was analyzed as basis for preparing high-performance cermet materials. Results showed that whenthe sintering temperature was increased from 700 oC to 1000 oC under holding time for 1 h, the densification degree and hardnessof Al2O3/Al cermet materials decreased and the electric resistivity increased. In the microstructure of Al2O3/Al cermet materials,Al particles were larger and continuously distributed, whereas the Al2O3 particles were smaller and discontinuously distributed. When the holding time was increased under sintering temperature of 700 oC, the densification degree and hardness of Al2O3/Alcermet materials also increased, and the electric resistivity decreased. When 25 wt% Al2O3/Al cermet materials were sintered at700 oC for 3 h, the densification degree was higher, with hardness of 2203 HV and electric resistivity of 0.0159 Ω • m.

      • Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor-Gamma Pro12Ala Polymorphism Could be a Risk Factor for Gastric Cancer

        Zhao, Jing,Zhi, Zheng,Song, Guangyao,Wang, Juan,Wang, Chao,Ma, Huijuan,Yu, Xian,Sui, Aixia,Zhang, Hongtao Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2015 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.16 No.6

Background: Due to the strong inhibitory effects of $PPAR{\gamma}$ gene on the growth of cancer cells, the role of Pro12Ala polymorphism in $PPAR{\gamma}$ gene has been extensively investigated in cancer recently. However, the results were inconsistent according to cancer type. The aim of this study was to comprehensively evaluate the $PPAR{\gamma}$ Pro12Ala polymorphism and gastric cancer susceptibility. Materials and Methods: Search strategies were conducted in Pubmed, Medline (Ovid), Chinese biomedical database (CBM), China national knowledge infrastructure (CNKI), VIP, and Wanfang database, covering all publications, with the last search up to November 01, 2014. The strength of association between $PPAR{\gamma}$ Pro12Ala polymorphism and gastric cancer risk was assessed by OR with 95%CI. Results: A total of 546 cases and 827 controls in 5 case-control studies were included in this meta-analysis. The results indicated that the variant G allele carriers (CG+GG) had a 2.31 times higher risk for gastric cancer when compared with the homozygote CC (odds ratio (OR)=2.31, 95% confidence interval (CI)=1.67-3.21 for CG+GG vs. CC). In the subgroup analysis by ethnicity, significantly elevated risks were both found in Asians (OR=2.56, 95% CI=1.42-4.64) and Caucasians (OR=2.20, 95% CI=1.48-3.25). Similarly, in the subgroup analysis by H. pylori status, a significantly increased risk was identified in H. pylori (+) populations (OR=3.68, 95%CI=2.07-6.52), but not in H. pylori(-) populations (OR=1.17, 95%CI=0.58-2.39). Conclusions: This pooled analysis suggested that the $PPAR{\gamma}$ Pro12Ala polymorphism could be an independent predictive risk factor for gastric cancer especially in H. pylori infected populations in Asians and Caucasians. Nevertheless, prospectively designed cohort studies are needed to further investigate gene-gene and gene-environment interactions to confirm the combined effects of $PPAR{\gamma}$ Pro12Ala polymorphisms and H. pylori infection on gastric cancer risk.
