Capacity of Continuous-Space Electromagnetic Channels With Lossy Transceivers

<P>In this paper, the capacity of continuous-space electromagnetic channels is analyzed. We assume the regions confining the transceivers are filled with dielectric that is either lossy or lossless and show how the capacity is affected by the physical loss of the source region. Our analysis is based on calculation of exact power consumption in the presence of mutual coupling and accurate modeling of noise based on fluctuation-dissipation theorem. We also analytically derive the Q factor and show how the capacity is affected by the bandwidth constraint. Finally, we compare our work with the existing literature and analyze the maximum gain of spherical dielectric antennas in practical applications.</P>
Effect of Mutual Coupling on Uniform Circular Arrays With Vector Antenna Elements

<P>In this letter, the mutual coupling among vector antenna (VA) elements is derived based on the electromagnetic theory, where a uniform circular array with VAs is utilized as the transmit antenna array. By exploiting our result on the mutual coupling, we also analyze the electromagnetic channel from the transmitter to a receiver that measures the electric field surrounding the transmitter. As a result, we show that the number of effectively usable channels can be increased by exploiting the mutual coupling.</P>

This paper presents a low-cost triaxial accelerometer calibration method using measurements at three or four known positions. The proposed calibration method estimates misalignment, gain factors and biases of each three axes without a high accurate external device. The sensor model of triaxial accelerometer includes misalignment rotation matrix, three gain factors and three biases. To calibrate these parameters, we use the rotation about one inertial-frame axis. In this paper, a three-position method and a four-position method is proposed. The proposed calibration methods are experimentally verified on low-cost MEMS accelerometer and the results show that the methods accurately estimate misalignment, gain factors and biases. The results are compared with the other calibration method which is not contained misalignment calibration. The errors between measured attitude and estimated attitude calculated from calibrated accelerometer data are used to compare performance of calibration methods.
AN IMPLEMENTATION OF A REMOTE ENGINEERING LABORATORY USING LABVIEW (FOR DIGITAL LOGIC CIRCUITS)

In this study Remote Laboratory for Digital Logic circuits was implemented that can test Logic Gate. The Virtual Contents and the Real Circuits are directly executed and these Real Circuit experimental images are provided to the students who are advised to do comparison studies. In this study, a DAQ card is used to confirm the Real Circuit's Input Signals and a PC camera is used to show a real-time experiment image screen to the students. The experimenting students will use LabVIEW web servers to conduct the real experiments, and the experiment results are saved database in which a data administrator will manage after. Other students will use the LabVIEW web server to monitor the stages of the experiment.
Self-Organization of Multi-UAVs for Improving QoE in Unequal User Distribution

A self-organizing multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (multi-UAVs) deployment based on virtual forces has a difficulty in ensuring the quality-of-experience (QoE) of users because of the difference between the assumed center for users in a hotspot and an actual center for users in the hotspot. This discrepancy is aggravated in a non-uniform and mobile user distribution. To address this problem, we propose a new density based virtual force (D-VF) multi-UAVs deployment algorithm which employs a mean opinion score (MOS) as a metric of QoE. Because MOS is based on signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), a sum of users’ MOS is a good metric not only to secure a wide service area but to enhance the link quality between multi-UAVs and users. The proposed algorithm improves users’ QoE by combining virtual forces with a random search force for the exploration of finding multi-UAVs’ positions which maximize the sum of users’ MOS. In simulation results, the proposed deployment algorithm shows the convergence of the multi-UAVs into the position of maximizing MOS. Therefore, the proposed algorithm outperforms the conventional virtual force-based deployment scheme in terms of QoE for non-uniform user distribution scenarios.
텍스트마이닝 기법을 활용한 영화 <4등> 온라인 리뷰 및 이데올로기 분석

본 연구는 영화 <4등>의 온라인 리뷰 분석을 통해 관람객의 인식구조를 알아보고, 이데올로기를 분석하는데에 목적이 있다. 이를 위해, 빅데이터 분석 방법 중 하나인 텍스트 마이닝을 활용하였다. 구체적으로 영화의 감상평 데이터를 이용하여 빈도분석, 워드 클라우드 분석, 네트워크 분석, 토픽 모델링 분석을 실시하였다. 자료처리는 R 프로그램(3.5.2 version)을 이용하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 빈도분석 결과는 상위 60개의 키워드를 빈도수에 따라 제시하였고, 워드 클라우드 분석을 통해 시각화하였다. 둘째, 네트워크 분석 결과는 주요 키워드 간의 상관관계를 시각화하여 제시하였다. 그리고 상관관계 분석을 통해 나타난 의미를 5가지로 제시하였다. 셋째, 토픽 모델링 분석 결과는 총 5가지의 토픽으로 정리하여 제시되었으며, ‘코치의 폭력을 통해 나타난 부끄러운 현실’, ‘부모의 사랑에 대한 의미와 메시지’, ‘수영을 통한 아이의 행복한 꿈’, ‘한국 교육의 현실에 대한 생각’, 그리고 ‘배우들의 연기가 뛰어난 수작’으로 나타났다. 또한, 대중들은 체육계의 스포츠폭력에 대해 인식이 다소 부족한 것으로 나타났으며, 사회적 시각에서 바라보는 인식 등의 결과 역시 두드러지게 나타나지 않았다. 이상의 연구결과를 통해 영화 <4등>의 온라인 리뷰 데이터에 내재된 이데올로기를 도출할 수 있었다. The purpose of this study was to analyze the online review of the movie < 4th > to find out the structure of moviegoers’ perceptions and further analyze ideology. To achieve this purpose, text mining, one of the big data analysis methods, was used. Specifically, frequency analysis, word cloud analysis, network analysis, and topic modeling analysis were conducted using the movie review data. The R program (3.5.2 version) was used for data processing. The results of the study are as follows. First, the results of frequency analysis presented the top 60 keywords according to frequency, and visualized them through word cloud analysis. Second, the network analysis result was derived by visualizing the correlation between major keywords. In addition, five meanings were revealed via correlation analysis. Third, the topic modeling analysis results came out in a total of five topics, including “shameful reality through coach’s violence,” “meaning and messages of parents’ love,” “child’s happy dream via Swimming,” “thinking about the reality of Korean Education,” and ‘a masterpiece with outstanding actors’ performance. Furthermore, the public showed a slight lack of awareness of sports assault in Korean sports field, and the results of social perception were also not noticeable. The above findings allowed us to analyze the ideology expressed in the online review material of the film < 4th >.
