Moving long baseline positioning algorithm with uncertain sound speed

This paper presents a Moving long baseline (MLBL) positioning algorithm for the underwater target considering the uncertainunderwater sound speed. First, the positioning and the sound speed models are established. To tackle the uncertain sound speed, auncertain Least squares (ULS) positioning algorithm is applied to estimate the target position and the sound speed. Then it is essentiallyshown that four mobile buoys are necessarily (at least) required to locate the target. Further, it is found that under a singularityscenario in which the ranges between the target and each of the mobile buoys are equal, there is no solution to the positioning accordingto the classical geometrical equations. In order to solve this singularity problem, an ULS-based unscented Kalman filter(UKF) algorithm is proposed to obtain the estimated solution. Simulation results illustrate the effectiveness of proposed methods.
A Coverage Algorithm for Multiple Autonomous Surface Vehicles in Flowing Environments

This paper is concerned with the coverage problem with multiple autonomous surface vehicles (ASVs) intime-varying flowing environment, where the interest information distribution is unknown to the coverage networks. While taking the model parameter uncertainty into consideration, a decentralized, adaptive control law is proposedsuch that the coverage network will converge to the optimal assigned region from arbitrary positions. For easeof exploration, we first investigate the static coverage problem of two-agent systems in flowing environment andpresent an example by extending the two-agent systems into the general case. In addition, Gaussian Estimationis introduced to predict the value of the sensory function through the sampled measurements. By using the staticcoverage partition as theoretical foundation, we transform the optimal coverage control into the moving targettracking problems, where the target is the centroid of the assigned region for each ASV. Based on these techniques,a decentralized kinematic control algorithm is developed to navigate the multi-ASV systems. Furthermore, theadaptive back-stepping techniques are employed to extend the kinematic controller into dynamic case with uncertainmodel parameters. Finally, simulation studies are provided to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of theproposed approaches.

The removal of CIP from the environment has become a mandatory issue. In our paper, we haverealized the visible-light-driven degradation of CIP on the BiVO 4 – Bi 2 WO 6 nano-heterojunctionphotocatalysts. The synthesized photocatalysts were characterized by X-ray difraction (XRD),¯eld emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM),high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) ab-sorption spectra and photoluminescence (PL) spectra. Compared with the single-phase BiVO 4and Bi 2 WO 6 counterparts, BiVO 4 – Bi 2 WO 6 nano-heterojunction photocatalysts show enhancedphotocatalytic degradation activities in visible-light-driven CIP degradation. Particularly, whenRðBi 2 WO 6 =BiVO 4 Þ ¼ 10 wt:% , the products exhibit the highest CIP degradation ratio in 60 min of76.8% under visible light illumination. The tentative mechanism of the interface charge transfer(IFCT) efect in the BiVO 4 – Bi 2 WO 6 heterojunction structure is also discussed by using the bandposition calculation.

A new scheme for sliding-mode control (SMC) of DC-DC converters with a constant switching frequency is proposed. The scheme is based on the averaging model and the output signal of the controller is d? or d? instead of the on or off signal of a direct sliding-mode (SM) controller or the continuous signal d = ueq of an indirect SM controller. Two approaches using the new scheme are also proposed and the design procedures for a buck converter are given in detail. The first approach called constant d? and d? SMC is simple, cost effective and dynamically fast. In order to improve the dynamic characteristics of the reaching phase and to alleviate chattering, the second approach called reaching law SMC is also presented. Analyses and simulation results demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed scheme.

Highly effective molecularly imprinted nano-polymer on wollastonite (nano-WMIP) was prepared byimprinting technique using oil-in-water emulsion polymerization in the presence of salicylic acid (SA) astemplate. The adsorption behavior of nano-WMIP including adsorption kinetic, isotherms, selectiveadsorption, recognition, and effects of initial pH, ionic strength, initial concentration, adsorptiontemperature, and amount of adsorbents were investigated in detail. Moreover, the selective recognitionof nano-WMIP was further investigated by HPLC toward analogs of SA. The relative selectivitycoefficients for p-HB, MS, and MP were 113.4, 8.049, and 6.239, respectively, showing that much higherselectivity of SA on nano-WMIP was obtained than that of wollastonite-based non-imprinted polymer(nano-WNIP).
