Fatigue Limit of Shot Peened LC9 Aluminum Alloy
WANG, Shengping,Yongjun, LI Xiuming, CHANG,YANG, Yuhui,YAO, Mei,WANG, Renzhi 대한금속재료학회(대한금속학회) 1996 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.2 No.2
The effects of shot peening on the three-point bending fatigue limit are described for LC9 aluminum alloy. Examination of the fatigue fracture surfaces revealed that the fatigue cracks were initiated under the hardened layer, depending upon the compressive residual stress (CRS) distribution. In this case, the local fatigue limit at the fatigue source is about 1.38 times of that of unstrengthened ones. An explanation is given with reference to the. concept of internal fatigue limit σ_(wi), which is regarded as the critical stress to initiate propagative fatigue microcrack in the interior of metal, and an intrinsic property of metal
An Improved BER-Optimal Relay Selection Scheme for Decode-and-Forward Cooperative Networks
Yuhui Han,Mingji Yang,Aili Wang 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Future Generation Communi Vol.8 No.1
We are concerned with the relay selection in a decode-and-forward cooperative network to minimize the bit error rate (BER) in a radio cell. This problem can be solved using maximum weighted (MW) matching algorithm, greedy matching algorithm or worst-link-first (WLF) matching algorithm. Among the algorithms, WLF matching algorithm has achieved much attention for its being less complex while the achieved performance is high. In order to further reduce the computational complexity, we propose an improved WLF relay selection scheme, in which relays are selected according to instantaneous channel state information (CSI) and a cooperative threshold is set up to eliminate some unsatisfying candidate relays from the set of alternative candidate relays and thus reduce the amount of calculation. Theory analysis and simulation results both show that the improved WLF relay selection scheme proposed can be easily implemented and achieve almost the same BER performance as that of WLF scheme while the computational complexity is much lower.
A Method of Coupling Expected Patch Log Likelihood and Guided Filtering for Image De-noising
Wang, Shunfeng,Xie, Jiacen,Zheng, Yuhui,Wang, Jin,Jiang, Tao Korea Information Processing Society 2018 Journal of information processing systems Vol.14 No.2
With the advent of the information society, image restoration technology has aroused considerable interest. Guided image filtering is more effective in suppressing noise in homogeneous regions, but its edge-preserving property is poor. As such, the critical part of guided filtering lies in the selection of the guided image. The result of the Expected Patch Log Likelihood (EPLL) method maintains a good structure, but it is easy to produce the ladder effect in homogeneous areas. According to the complementarity of EPLL with guided filtering, we propose a method of coupling EPLL and guided filtering for image de-noising. The EPLL model is adopted to construct the guided image for the guided filtering, which can provide better structural information for the guided filtering. Meanwhile, with the secondary smoothing of guided image filtering in image homogenization areas, we can improve the noise suppression effect in those areas while reducing the ladder effect brought about by the EPLL. The experimental results show that it not only retains the excellent performance of EPLL, but also produces better visual effects and a higher peak signal-to-noise ratio by adopting the proposed method.

StMYBA1 from potato tuber was transformed into tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum) with the CaMV 35S promoter to investigate whether it can regulate anthocyanin biosynthesis in tobacco plants. As a result, anthocyanin accumulation was induced by overexpressing StMYBA1 in all tissues of transgenic tobacco lines. Several anthocyanin biosynthetic genes were highly expressed in leaves and roots of transgenic lines. In particular, the bHLH transcriptional partners NtAN1a and NtAN1b, especially NtAN1b, were up-regulated significantly in leaves and roots of StMYBA1-overexpressing tobacco. These results demonstrate that endogenous bHLH partners can be stimulated by overexpressing exogenous gene StMYBA1 in tobacco, and the elevated expression levels of bHLH partners are essential for anthocyanin production in plant tissues. Applying the dark conditions to the tobacco plants overexpressing StMYBA1 transiently, can down-regulate the expression levels of biosynthetic pathway genes and bHLH TFs, and subsequently reduce anthocyanin accumulation. We suggest that StMYBA1 can positively regulate anthocyanin biosynthesis in tobacco, and light is required for its function on anthocyanin accumulation.
A design method for multi-degree-of-freedom aeroelastic model of super tall buildings
Lei Wang,Yong-jie Zhu,Ze-kang Wang,Yuhui Fan 한국풍공학회 2021 Wind and Structures, An International Journal (WAS Vol.32 No.3
Wind tunnel test models for super tall buildings mainly include synchronized pressure models, high-frequency force balance models, forced vibration models and aeroelastic models. Aeroelastic models, especially MDOF aeroelastic models, are relatively accurate, and designing MDOF model is an important step in aero-model wind tunnel tests. In this paper, the authors propose a simple and accurate design method for MDOF model. The purpose of this paper is to make it easier to design MDOF models without unnecessary experimentation, which is of great significance for the use of the aero-model for tall buildings.

Data mining is an important tool in meteorological problems solved. Cluster analysis techniques in data mining play an important role in the study of meteorological applications. The research progress of the clustering algorithms in meteorology in recent years is summarized in this paper. First, we give a brief introduction of the principles and characteristics of the clustering algorithms that are commonly used in meteorology. On the other hand, the applications of clustering algorithms in meteorology are analyzed, and the relationship between the various clustering algorithms and meteorological applications are summarized. Then we interpret the relationship from the perspectives of algorithms’ characteristics and practical applications. Finally, some main research issues and directions of the clustering algorithms in meteorological applications are pointed out.
Regularization Parameter Selection for Total Variation Model Based on Local Spectral Response
Yuhui Zheng,Kai Ma,Qiqiong Yu,Jianwei Zhang,Jin Wang 한국정보처리학회 2017 Journal of information processing systems Vol.13 No.5
In the past decades, various image regularization methods have been introduced. Among them, total variationmodel has drawn much attention for the reason of its low computational complexity and well-understoodmathematical behavior. However, regularization parameter estimation of total variation model is still an openproblem. To deal with this problem, a novel adaptive regularization parameter selection scheme is proposedin this paper, by means of using the local spectral response, which has the capability of locally selecting theregularization parameters in a content-aware way and therefore adaptively adjusting the weights between thetwo terms of the total variation model. Experiment results on simulated and real noisy image show the goodperformance of our proposed method, in visual improvement and peak signal to noise ratio value.
