V. Srinivas,CH. V. K. N. S. N. Moorthy,V. Dedeepya,P. A. Thompson 대한기계학회 2015 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.29 No.8
This paper presents a recent work on enhanced heat transfer properties of carboxylated water based nanofluids and their corrosive behaviorfor suitability to automotive conditions. Water mixed with Sebacic acid as carboxylate additive is dispersed with multi-walledcarbon nanotubes and tested for corrosion and heat transfer characteristics. Corrosion studies made as per ASTM D 1384 show that carboxylatedwater dispersed with CNTs is resistant to corrosion and hence suitable for automotive environment. In addition to CNTs, carboxylatedwater dispersed with nano sized silver, copper and Al2O3 was also tested for corrosion performance but found to be givingconsiderable corrosion in automotive environment. The stability of CNT based nanofluids in terms of zeta potential is found to be goodwith carboxylated water compared to deionized water. Significant improvement is observed in the thermal conductivity of nanofluidsdispersed with CNTs. The carboxylated water dispersed with very low mass concentration of carbon nano tubes was tested for heat transferperformance in Reynolds number range of 2500 to 6000. The inside overall heat transfer coefficient and overall heat transfer coefficientimproved markedly. Also, the velocity of air and flow rate of coolant play an important role in enhancement of the overall heattransfer coefficient. The effect of enhancement of overall heat transfer coefficient on the surface area of heat exchanger and pumpingpower is found to be significant.

Ozone depletion and global warming phenomenon necessitates the replacement of widely used refrigerants which consist of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) and hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) in refrigeration and air-conditioning systems. In this paper, experimental analysis on the performance of hydrofluorocarbon/hydrocarbon (HFC/HC) mixture as a possible drop-in replacement for R134a refrigerant is presented. The influence of capillary length, composition of the mixture and refrigerant charge at various evaporator temperatures on coefficient of performance (COP) are investigated. The optimum operating conditions are obtained by applying Taguchi technique for the acquired experimental results. The results of analysis of variance indicated that for a given evaporator temperature, HFC/HC mixture charge amount is the most influencing parameter. At the optimum condition, the simulation showed that the amount of charge required for HFC/HC mixture in visi-cooler is 120g which is 50% lower than required quantity of R134a for the same system. The HC mixture quantity amounted to 90g in the HFC/HC mixture which is lower than the safe limit of 150g. This eliminates the risk of flammability of HC in the proposed mixture while reducing the quantity of R134a by 87.5%
Multispectral Image Compression for various band images with High Resolution Improved DWT SPIHT
V. Bhagya Raju,Dr. K. Jaya Sankar,Dr. C. D. Naidu,Srinivas Bachu 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Signal Processing, Image Vol.9 No.2
Satellite imageries which comprises of various multispectral spectral bands pertaining to spectral and spatial information of the images acquired by latest multispectral sensor technology are rapidly increasing day by day in the recent years for onboard satellite remote sensing applications. A lossy multispectral image compression is desired by the exploitation of the redundancies present in the spatial and spectral information while preserving the vital and crucial information of the image objects to a certain extent. In this paper a novel approach is proposed for lossy multispectral image compression which is an extension to the earlier existing algorithms. In this proposed method the multispectral images are first enhanced with interpolation based super resolution technique to estimate a hi-resolution (HR) image from a low-resolution (LR) input image. Secondly the decorrelated spectral bands transformed by discrete wavelet transform (DWT), which contain maximum entropy, are selected and these representative spectral bands are quantized and encoded using Improved SPIHT (ISPIHT) algorithm. The algorithm has been designed for the optimization of maximum coding efficiency and for high compression ratio of bits per pixel per band when compared with the well known compression techniques.

Farmers E-Market is a website that allows agricultural workers to direct market their products to buyers without the use of a middleman. That theory is blockchain system will be used by authors to accomplish this. The system, which is built on a public blockchain system, supports sustainability, shippers, and consumers. Farmers can keep track of their farming activities. Customers can review the product's history and track its journey through carriers to delivery after making a purchase. Farmers are encouraged to get information about their interests promptly in a blockchain-enabled system like this. This functionality is being used by small-scale farmers to form groups based on their location to attract large-scale customers, renegotiate farming techniques or volumes, and enter into contracts with buyers. The analysis shows the use of blockchain technology with a farmer's portal that keeps the video of trading data of crops, taking into account the qualities of blockchain such as values and create or transaction data. The proposal merges python as a programming language with a blockchain system to benefit farmers, vendors, and individuals by preserving transactions.
Improved plastid transformation efficiency in Scoparia dulcis L.
Kota, Srinivas,Hao, Qiang,Narra, Muralikrishna,Anumula, Vaishnavi,Rao, A.V,Hu, Zanmin,Abbagani, Sadanandam The Korean Society of Plant Biotechnology 2019 식물생명공학회지 Vol.46 No.4
The high expression level of industrial and metabolically important proteins in plants can be achieved by plastid transformation. The CaIA vector, a Capsicum-specific vector harboring aadA (spectinomycin resistance), is a selectable marker controlled by the PsbA promoter, and the terminator is flanked by the trnA and trnI regions of the inverted repeat (IR) region of the plastid. The CaIA vector can introduce foreign genes into the IR region of the plastid genome. The biolistic method was used for chloroplast transformation in Scoparia dulcis with leaf explants followed by antibiotic selection on regeneration medium. Transplastomes were successfully screened, and the transformation efficiency of 3 transgenic lines from 25 bombarded leaf explants was determined. Transplastomic lines were evaluated by PCR and Southern blotting for the confirmation of aadA insertion and its integration into the chloroplast genome. Seeds collected from transplastomes were analyzed on spectinomycin medium with wild types to determine genetic stability. The increased chloroplast transformation efficiency (3 transplastomic lines from 25 bombarded explants) would be useful for expressing therapeutically and industrially important genes in Scoparia dulcis L.

Effective brand management using images has been a challenge for the brand managers. The brand identity- brand image alignment on the social media is an important yet mostly-overlooked phenomenon. We proposed a scalable Google Cloud Vision-based approach for measuring the alignment between brand identity and brand image, and understanding the brand positions. We analyzed 3247 images of 13 leading Indian brands on Instagram. Images containing wordy announcements by the firms are in stark contrast with the relatively more emotive images by the users. It leads to a noticeable disconnect between the brand identity and brand image. Also, the private sector brands do not always outperform the public sector brands in branding efforts. By offering practical guidance on how to measure and reduce the misalignment, this study paved a feasible path towards better visual branding on Instagram.
