A High Step-up DC-DC Converter with Multiplier Voltage Cells
Song Liye,Tian Guosheng,Peng Jishen,Ding Xinping 대한전기학회 2024 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.19 No.1
The non-isolated high voltage gain dc-dc converter becomes the focus of research in the sustainable energy converters. This paper proposes a high step-up dc-dc converter with switched-capacitor and 3-winding coupled inductor. It consists of voltage multiplier cell, coupled inductor, and switched-capacitor. Compared with existing high step-up dc-dc converters, the proposed converter incorporates a switched-capacitor at the output side of the converter, which has a lower impulse current and power loss due to the current limiting efect of magnetic element. Therefore, it makes full use of the boosting capability of the switched-capacitor and avoids its drawbacks. The converter achieves high voltage gain by cascaded boost method, which is composed of 3-winding coupled-inductor based boost cells. It reduces voltage stresses on the components in each cell, achieves high voltage gain by utilizing devices with low on-state resistance and low voltage rating that improves the efciency. An inherent passive clamp circuit alleviates voltage spike of switch as well as recycles the leakage energy. The converter provides high voltage gain, high efciency and high power density. The operation modes, steady-state analysis, stresses of the components, comparison with other candidates, and design guideline are analyzed and presented. The validation of the proposed converter is verifed by a 200 W prototype constructed in the laboratory
Ear Structure Feature Extraction Based on Multi-scale Hessian Matrix
Ma Chi,Ban Xiaojuan,Wang Guosheng,Tian Ying 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Signal Processing, Image Vol.9 No.5
In this paper, a new ear anatomy feature edge extraction method based on Hessian matrix is proposed. Stable edge is obtained from principal curvature image across scale space. Firstly, the side face image that includes an ear is filtered and forms Gaussian pyramid. Secondly, the 2D gray image in the pyramid was regarded as a surface, maximum and minimum principal curvature and their direction were calculated by using Hessian matrix, and principal curvature image was formed. The characteristic of surface is that gray level changes in edge area is sharp and the curvature is larger compared to that of the smooth area. In accordance with this characteristic, automatic hysteresis thresholding based on curvature direction flow is used to segment curvature images. Lastly, combine different scale threshold images to get the feature edge image. The experiments demonstrate that extracted feature edge is smooth and connected. New method is robust to noise, and is sensitive to the weak edge, using Hausdorff distance as similarity measurement of two edge images can obtain above 96% recognition rate.
