        Complete genome sequence of the Pogostemon cablin bacterial wilt pathogen Ralstonia solanacearum strain SY1

        Background Ralstonia solanacearum causes bacterial wilt of Pogostemon cablin which is an important aromatic herb and also the main materials of COVID-19 therapeutic traditional drugs. However, we are lacking the information on the genomic sequences of R. solanacearum isolated from P. cablin. Objective The acquisition and analysis of this whole-genome sequence of the P. cablin bacterial wilt pathogen. Methods An R. solanacearum strain, named SY1, was isolated from infected P. cablin plants, and the complete genome sequence was sequenced and analyzed. Results The SY1 strain contains a 3.70-Mb chromosome and a 2.18-Mb megaplasmid, with GC contents of 67.57% and 67.41%, respectively. A total of 3308 predicted genes were located on the chromosome and 1657 genes were located in the megaplasmid. SY1 strain has 273 unique genes compared with five representative R. solanacearum strains, and these genes were enriched in the plant–pathogen interaction pathway. SY1 possessed a higher syntenic relationship with phylotype I strains, and the arsenal of type III effectors predicted in SY1 were also more closely related to those of phylotype I strains. SY1 contained 14 and 5 genomic islands in its chromosome and megaplasmid, respectively, and two prophage sequences in its chromosome. In addition, 215 and 130 genes were annotated as carbohydrate-active enzymes and antibiotic resistance genes, respectively. Conclusion This is the first genome-scale assembly and annotation for R. solanacearum which isolated from infected P. cablin plants. The arsenal of virulence and antibiotic resistance may as the determinants in SY1 for infection of P. cablin plants.

        A Secure and Efficient Cloud Resource Allocation Scheme with Trust Evaluation Mechanism Based on Combinatorial Double Auction

        Cloud computing is a new service to provide dynamic, scalable virtual resource services via the Internet. Cloud market is available to multiple cloud computing resource providers and users communicate with each other and participate in market transactions. However, since cloud computing is facing with more and more security issues, how to complete the allocation process effectively and securely become a problem urgently to be solved. In this paper, we firstly analyze the cloud resource allocation problem and propose a mathematic model based on combinatorial double auction. Secondly, we introduce a trust evaluation mechanism into our model and combine genetic algorithm with simulated annealing algorithm to increase the efficiency and security of cloud service. Finally, by doing the overall simulation, we prove that our model is highly effective in the allocation of cloud resources.

        Provably secure attribute based signcryption with delegated computation and efficient key updating

        Equipped with the advantages of flexible access control and fine-grained authentication, attribute based signcryption is diffusely designed for security preservation in many scenarios. However, realizing efficient key evolution and reducing the calculation costs are two challenges which should be given full consideration in attribute based cryptosystem. In this paper, we present a key-policy attribute based signcryption scheme (KP-ABSC) with delegated computation and efficient key updating. In our scheme, an access structure is embedded into user`s private key, while ciphertexts corresponds a target attribute set. Only the two are matched can a user decrypt and verify the ciphertexts. When the access privileges have to be altered or key exposure happens, the system will evolve into the next time slice to preserve the forward security. What`s more, data receivers can delegate most of the de-signcryption task to data server, which can reduce the calculation on client`s side. By performance analysis, our scheme is shown to be secure and more efficient, which makes it a promising method for data protection in data outsourcing systems.

      • Extension of indacenodithiophene backbone conjugation enables efficient asymmetric A-D-A type non-fullerene acceptors

        <P>A novel strategy involving judiciously fusing one thiophene/thieno[3,2-<I>b</I>]thiophene on only one side of an indacenodithiophene (IDT) unit to extend IDT backbone conjugation was developed, and three A-D-A type non-fullerene small molecules (TPT-2F, TPTT-2F, and TPTTT-2F) were designed and synthesized to investigate the influence of the extent of IDT core conjugation on their photovoltaic properties. Extending the IDT core conjugation could broaden absorption, upshift the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) energy level, enhance electron mobility, and increase intermolecular π-π stacking. When these three non-fullerene acceptors were applied in organic solar cells (OSCs), simultaneous enhancement of the open-circuit voltage (<I>V</I>oc), short-circuit current (<I>J</I>sc), and fill factor (FF) was obtained, with the degree of enhancement following the order TPT-2F < TPTT-2F < TPTTT-2F. As a result, the TPTTT-2F based OSCs yielded a high PCE of 12.03%. To the best of our knowledge, the PCE of 12.03% is among the highest values for asymmetric non-fullerene acceptor based OSCs so far. These results demonstrate that extending the conjugation of the IDT core is an effective approach to design highly efficient asymmetric non-fullerene acceptors.</P>
