살아 계신 하나님은 모형이 되는 인물, 제도, 사건들을 통해서 그의 구원 목적들을 진전시키셨다. 또한 모형들을 통해 사람들을 위해 아직 그가 하셔야 할 것들을 보다 명백하고 완전하게 말씀하셨다. 이런 모형들 때문에 주의 종들은 비록 철저하게 역사적인 인간들이었음에도 불구하고 하나님의 구원 행위를 이해하고 고백하고 선포할 수 있었다. 구원사의 절정과 완성이 되는 실체와 마찬가지로 구약 시대에 이미 작동하고 있는 하나의 구원 행위는 약속이나 예언의 말씀을 성취하고 있을 뿐만 아니라, 하나님의 구원 역사(하나님 나라가 도래하는 만큼 구원사의 초기의 사건들 속에서 이미 존재하는 구원 역사)를 더욱더 많이 성취할 것이다. 구원사의 독특한 행로는 그 결과가 구원이라는 점인 동시에 주님이 가리키시는 방향으로 그 절정과 완성이 전조들이 충만해 있다. 또한 그 행로는 구원사의 절정과 완성이 멀리서부터 알려지고, 이해되고, 고백되고, 외쳐질 수 있도록 계속해서 역사적 언어를 창조해내고 있다.

While general belief is that the military alliances are stable and rigid, the authors argue that the states are far more flexible in their behavior and often act against their alliances. This paper looks at states' behavior in the UN GA and looks how it is reflected in participation in military alliances during three periods of history since 1976 to this day. The authors illustrate the need to consider the network representation of co-sponsoring groups in General Assembly votes. They find significant support for their argument, indicating that social aspects can be extended beyond alliances. An application of social network analysis shows some unexpected affiliations in UN GA. If the UN GA is the "true" nature of these countries' alliance strategies, then it might suggest some significant defections and interesting association.

Public Diplomacy between China and the World : The 2008 Beijing Olympic Torch Relay, A Test Case

Soft power is often seen as one of China s weaknesses, especially when comparing China to the United States in terms of their superpower status. Yet soft power and the effectiveness of public diplomacy are fiendishly difficult to evaluate, let alone understand. Therefore the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and specifically the Olympic torch relay offer a unique and manageable perspective to evaluate China s public diplomacy and the world s reaction to it. Contrary to the expectations of the Chinese government, the Olympic torch relay became a focal point for large anti-China protests in many of its most important economic partners. These protests in turn sparked counter protests from the Chinese emigrant community both in China and abroad. The protests and the political fallout that followed revealed much about the relationship between China and other countries and about the mutual expectations of foreign and domestic Chinese audiences about China s conduct on the world stage.
