Going shopping would be a very reasoned and well-planned activity, however, at the same time, it would not. People may go shopping just for fun and as their leisure. The motivations for going shopping and their experiences cannot be fully explained with the economic utility or the information-processing model. Thus, this study explored the hedonic aspect of the experiences of shopping as an alternative explanation to consumers’ motivations of shopping and discussed retail advertising and marketing plans. An in-depth interview was conducted to obtain a better understanding about hedonic value, and it was found that hedonic value affects a consumer’s shopping experience and that understanding consumers’ motivations for shopping and establishing competitive advertising and marketing plans is important in drawing more consumers. Strategic implications for establishing further retail advertising and marketing plans obtained from the findings were also suggested.

지난 40년간 비디오 게임 산업은 비약적인 발전을 이루었다. 이에 본 연구는 산업조직론을 이론적 분석틀로 이용하여 미국 비디오 게임 산업의 진화를 살펴보았다. 분석 결과 미국 비디오 게임 산업의 시장 구조 및 시장 행위의 역사적 변화를 확인할 수 있었으며, 특히 미국 비디오 게임 산업의 시장구조의 변화와 시장행위의 변화간에 밀접한 연관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과는 비디오 게임 산업에 대한 경제학적 분석을 실시하는 후속 연구에 기초가 될 것으로 여겨진다. Video game industry has undergone the drastic changes for forty-year history. The purpose of this study was to gain an understanding of the historical evolution of the U.S. video game industry. To achieve this goal, this study has chosen the industrial organization model as the theoretical framework. This study found that the market structure as well as the market conduct in the U.S. video game industry changed drastically. This study concludes that the change of the market structure of the U.S. video game industry relates to the change of market conduct. This study could serve as the basis for future research on the economic analysis of video game industry.
RNA-seq analysis on tetralocular ovary and high seed yields in yellow sarson of Brassica rapa

In Brassica as matter of seedling manner, they have the bilocular ovary and 20~28 seeds per silique after fertilization. Rarely some of B. juncea and yellow sarson (Brassica rapa ssp, tricolaris) have multilocular ovary. In this stdudy, the LP8 (YS-033, CGN06835) is shown tetralocular ovary as well as high seed yields. As microscope study for the different size of immature bud sections and we have known the floral meristem with already four locules in immature buds less size than 1mm of LP8. To identify of determining of tetralocular ovary formation, RNA-seq was carried out on the isolated RNA from less than 1mm and from 1mm of bud size respectively. By contrast tetralocular ovay and bilocular ovary, Chiifu is used. A total of 994 differentially expressed genes(DEGs) are detected in only LP8. Among the DEGs, we identify 18 DEGs in only immature buds of less size than 1mm. The expression patterns of 18 DEGs are validated by real time quantitative PCR and these genes are cloned and the sequence analyzed. At present, 12 candidated gene are analyzed by sequencing and there are detected by large fragment insertion as well as SNPs in sequence comparison to Chiifu. We will perform the genetic transformation of these DEG genes in Arabidopsis for relation between genes and tetralocular ovary. Our results will be helpful in understanding for mechanisms of tetraovular ovary in Brassica rapa.

Purpose: In 2015, the South Korean government legislated the Act for the Improvement of Training Conditions and Status of Medical Residents (Medical Resident Act). This study investigated changes in the working and learning environment pre- and post-implementation of the Medical Resident Act in 2017, as well as changes in training conditions by year post-implementation. Methods: An annual cross-sectional voluntary survey was conducted by the Korean Intern Resident Association (KIRA) between 2016 and 2019. The learning and working environment, including extended shift length, rest time, learning goals, and job satisfaction, were compared by institution type, training year, and specialty. Results: Of the 55,727 enrollees in the KIRA, 15,029 trainees took the survey, and the number of survey participants increased year by year (from 2,984 in 2016 to 4,700 in 2019). Overall working hours tended to decrease; however, interns worked the most (114 hours in 2016, 88 hours in 2019; P<0.001). Having 10 hours or more of break time has gradually become more common (P<0.001). Lunch breaks per week decreased from 5 in 2017 to 4 in 2019 (P<0.001). Trainees’ sense of educational deprivation due to physician assistants increased from 17.5% in 2016 to 25.6% in 2018 (P<0.001). Awareness of tasks and program/work achievement goals increased from 29.2% in 2016 to 58.3% in 2018 (P<0.001). Satisfaction with the learning environment increased over time, whereas satisfaction with working conditions varied. Conclusion: The Medical Resident Act has brought promising changes to the training of medical residents in Korea, as well as their satisfaction with the training environment.

Lay flat sprinkler hoses are widely use in S. Korea due to its reasonable price and flexibility. However, it applies a lot of water for a short time in a field that potentially causing unbalanced irrigation. In addition, there have been not many studies on characteristics such as irrigation uniformity. In this regards, the purpose of this study was to provide fundamental data for the design and operation of lay flat sprinkler by evaluating the irrigation uniformity and the watering pattern according to the change of water pressure. The most important characteristics for the uniformity were a pattern, number, and diameter of the holes on the lay flat sprinkler hoses. The amount of irrigation was different up to 2.3 times under the same (or about same) water pressure. Statistical uniformity (CV) of the sprinkler hose A, B, C showed good to fair, good, and fair respectively. Emission uniformity (EU) of the sprinkler hose A, B, and C classified good, excellent to good, and fair individually. The results of this study would be useful for proper water management by providing fundamental data such as water pressure level, spacing, and water management when installing lay flat sprinkler hoses in crop cultivating sites.
