In this paper, a new multi-model approach is proposed for identification of nonlinear systems. In similar identification methods, the operating space is partitioned and a local model is suggested for each partition. In such approaches, since the same linear structure is often used for all local models; huge number of local linear models is usually required to reasonably model an operating region with severely nonlinear dynamics. Therefore the size of the global model may exponentially increase; and as a result model robustness may decrease. In the proposed approach the best model structure is selected for the particular nonlinear study system in an iterative approach. At each iteration, a choice is made to increase number of local models and/or increase the local model complexity. Furthermore, it determines the complexity of local models based on increasing the model accuracy and ensuring the model robustness. In order to optimize the model approximation capability and model robustness, a model term selection approach based on a forward orthogonal least squares algorithm and a criterion that minimizes the sum of the variance of the parameter estimates is applied. Simulation results show that the proposed method results in an excellent validation performance with fewer parameters.
System Identification of the LCL Filter Parameters in Grid-Tied Voltage Source Inverters
Salman Ahmadi,Brendan Peter McGrath 전력전자학회 2023 ICPE(ISPE)논문집 Vol.2023 No.-
A method is presented to estimate the parameters of inductive-capacitive-inductive (LCL) filters in grid-tied voltage source inverter (VSI) systems. The estimation approach involves specific filtering schemes to overcome the presence of time-derivative quantities in the dynamic model of LCL filters and also to remove the disturbing effects of the grid source voltage and its harmonics on the estimation process. The inverter current is measured while the pulse width modulation (PWM) reference signals available through the VSI controller outputs are combined with measurements of the DC link voltage to quantify the inverter voltage for the estimation process. Simulation and experimental results for a grid-tied VSI are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the algorithm.
Global Prostate Cancer Incidence and Mortality Rates According to the Human Development Index
Khazaei, Salman,Rezaeian, Shahab,Ayubi, Erfan,Gholamaliee, Behzad,Pishkuhi, Mahin Ahmadi,Khazaei, Somayeh,Mansori, Kamyar,Nematollahi, Shahrzad,Sani, Mohadeseh,Hanis, Shiva Mansouri Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2016 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.17 No.8
Background: Prostate cancer (PC) is one of the leading causes of death, especially in developed countries. The human development index (HDI) and its dimensions seem correlated with incidence and mortality rates of PC. This study aimed to assess the association of the specific components of HDI (life expectancy at birth, education, gross national income per 1000 capita, health, and living standards) with burden indicators of PC worldwide. Materials and Methods: Information of the incidence and mortality rates of PC was obtained from the GLOBOCAN cancer project in year 2012 and data about the HDI 2013 were obtained from the World Bank database. The correlation between incidence, mortality rates, and the HDI parameters were assessed using STATA software. Results: A significant inequality of PC incidence rates was observed according to concentration indexes=0.25 with 95% CI (0.22, 0.34) and a negative mortality concentration index of -0.04 with 95% CI (-0.09, 0.01) was observed. Conclusions: A positive significant correlation was detected between the incidence rates of PC and the HDI and its dimensions including life expectancy at birth, education, income, urbanization level and obesity. However, there was a negative significant correlation between the standardized mortality rates and the life expectancy, income and HDI.
In Vitro Assessment of Antioxidant and Antibacterial Activities of Six Edible Plants from Iran
Reza Tabaraki,Ashraf Nateghi,Salman Ahmady-Asbchin 사단법인약침학회 2013 Journal of Acupuncture & Meridian Studies Vol.6 No.3
The antioxidant and antibacterial activities of six edible plants were evaluated. The active constituents of the edible plants were extracted using boiling water or 80% methanol. Results demonstrated that extraction of antioxidants by boiling water was more efficient. Lycium depressum and Berula angustifolia had the highest antioxidant activities and, therefore, could be rich sources of natural antioxidants. The antibacterial activities of the extracts were tested against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Entrococcus faecalis and Proteus mirabilis. Further research is needed to isolate, characterize, and identify the bioactive compounds present in these plants.
