PURPOSE. Polymer infiltrated ceramic network (PICN) materials, also called hybrid ceramics, are new materials in dental market. The manufacturer of the PICN material VITA Enamic suggests 3 different finishing procedures for this new material. In the present study, surface roughness and color differences caused from different finishing procedures of VITA Enamic were investigated. MATERIALS AND METHODS. 120 specimens were prepared in dimensions $2{\times}10{\times}12mm$ from VITA Enamic hybrid ceramic blocks with 'high translucency' and 'translucency 2M2' shades. The specimens were divided into 8 groups. For each group, different finishing procedures suggested by the manufacturer were performed. Surface roughness values were determined by a tactile portable profilometer. Color changes were evaluated using a clinical spectrophotometer. The data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA and Tukey's post-hoc comparison. The significance level was set at ${\alpha}=0.05$. RESULTS. The roughest surfaces were observed in Glaze Groups. Their surface roughness values were similar to that of the control group. Clinical Kit and Technical Kit groups did not show a statistically significant difference regarding surface roughness (P>.05). The largest color difference regarding ${\Delta}E_{00}$ was observed in Clinical Kit finishing groups. There were also statistically significant color changes between the groups (P<.05). However, all the groups showed clinically acceptable color change (${\Delta}E_{00}$<2.25) except Clinical Kit Groups (${\Delta}E_{00}$>2.25). CONCLUSION. Within the limitations of the present study, it may be suggested that finishing the VITA Enamic restorations by Technical Kit instead of Glaze and Clinical Kit gives better clinical performance in regard to surface roughness and shade matching.

An Application of Absolute Matrix Summability using Almost Increasing and δ-quasi-monotone Sequences

In the present paper, absolute matrix summability of infinite series is studied. A new theorem concerning absolute matrix summability factors, which generalizes a known theorem dealing with absolute Riesz summability factors of infinite series, is proved using almost increasing and ${\delta}$-quasi-monotone sequences. Also, a result dealing with absolute $Ces{\grave{a}}ro$ summability is given.
ON LIFTING OF STABLE RANGE ONE ELEMENTS

Stable range of rings is a unifying concept for problems related to the substitution and cancellation of modules. The newly appeared element-wise setting for the simplest case of stable range one is tempting to study the lifting property modulo ideals. We study the lifting of elements having (idempotent) stable range one from a quotient of a ring R modulo a two-sided ideal I by providing several examples and investigating the relations with other lifting properties, including lifting idempotents, lifting units, and lifting of von Neumann regular elements. In the case where the ring R is a left or a right duo ring, we show that stable range one elements lift modulo every two-sided ideal if and only if R is a ring with stable range one. Under a mild assumption, we further prove that the lifting of elements having idempotent stable range one implies the lifting of von Neumann regular elements.

STATISTICAL CONVERGENCE FOR GENERAL BETA OPERATORS

In this paper, we consider general Beta operators, which is a general sequence of integral type operators including Beta function. We study the King type Beta operators which preserves the third test function $x^2$. We obtain some approximation properties, which include rate of convergence and statistical convergence. Finally, we show how to reach best estimation by these operators.

Recently, Liu et al. [Bilateral generating functions for the Chan-Chyan-Srivastava polynomials and the generalized Lauricella function, Integral Transform Spec. Funct. 23 (2012), no. 7, 539-549] investigated, in several interesting papers, some various families of bilateral generating functions involving the Chan-Chyan-Srivastava polynomials. The aim of this present paper is to obtain some bilateral generating functions involving the Chan-Chyan-Sriavastava polynomials and three general classes of multivariable polynomials introduced earlier by Srivastava in [A contour integral involving Fox's H-function, Indian J. Math. 14 (1972), 1-6], [A multilinear generating function for the Konhauser sets of biorthogonal polynomials suggested by the Laguerre polynomials, Pacific J. Math. 117 (1985), 183-191] and by Kaano$\breve{g}$lu and $\ddot{O}$zarslan in [Two-sided generating functions for certain class of r-variable polynomials, Mathematical and Computer Modelling 54 (2011), 625-631]. Special cases involving the (Srivastava-Daoust) generalized Lauricella functions are also given.
