To assess the utility of the seagrass (Halophila stipulacea) for biomonitoring of metal pollution, seagrass samples were collected from four sites along the Jordanian coast of the Gulf of Aqaba between April and July 2017. Concentrations of trace metals (Cr, Mn, Fe, Ni, Zn, and Pb) in leaves, rhizomes, and roots were compared to published data on sediment trace metal and organic carbon content at the same sites to assess the degree of their fidelity in recording local trace metal pollution. The results of this study indicated that the roots of the seagrass H. stipulacea accumulated higher metal concentrations of Cd, Pb, Cr, Ni, Zn, Mn, and Fe than rhizomes and leaves. Concentrations in H. stipulacea varied significantly between sites for Mn, Fe, Zn, Cd, and Pb but not for Cr and Ni. Higher levels of seagrass trace metals in the Hotels Area and Old Phosphate Port sampling sites compared to other sampled sites are likely related to the sites' proximity to tourist and boating activity and city infrastructure which may contribute to metals accumulating in the tissues of this seagrass. In contrast to other studies, when all the data are considered, no clear trend between sediment metal concentration and seagrass metals is observed, suggesting physiological control on metal uptake by H. stipulacea and thus limiting the utility of H. stipulacea for biomonitoring of pollution.

Background: In the United Arab Emirates (UAE) tobacco use is rampant. A less reported, yet widely used form of smoking native to UAE is midwakh or dhokha. The aim of the study is to assess the acute effects of smoking dokha (Arabian pipe) on the cardiovascular and respiratory systems among male university students in the UAE. Method: A quasi-experimental study was conducted among 97 male volunteers aged more than 17 years. Blood pressure, heart rate and respiratory rate of each participant, were measured before and immediately after smoking. A self administered questionnaire was used to collect personal details and data about smoking pattern. Results: Mean increases in systolic blood pressures ($12{\pm}1$ mmHg), heart rates ($20{\pm}2$ bpm) and respiratory rates ($4{\pm}1$ breaths/min) were observed (p < 0.001). A mean decrease in diastolic blood pressures ($1{\pm}1$ mmHg) was observed (p = 0.483). Conclusion: Smoking dokha has a significant acute effect on systolic blood pressure, heart rate and respiratory rate. Anti smoking campaigns must address the ill effects of this form of smoking. Results from the study warrant further research into this method of smoking which is becoming more popular.
Towards A Requirements Model of System Security Using International Standards

Currently, security requirements are defined at system levels in software engineering projects as system quality requirements. Later on system engineers must identify such system requirements into software requirements. It will be assigned to system software to conform to security at software and hardware requirements. For instance, a number of security requirements concepts and terms are described by IEEE, ISO and ECSS international standards and explained at different stages of requirements at the system, software and hardware levels. This paper assembles and systematizes these candidate security-related descriptions into a requirements model for the specification of software functional user requirements assigned from additional system security non-functional requirements. These models structure is made using the ISO-19761 international standard model of software requirements, which accept the new model to measure the functional size of software functionality and non-functionality of security systems.
