Purpose: This study investigated the changes in the health-related behaviors of adult women in Korea during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.Methods: Data from the eighth Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (2019-2020) were analyzed. The participants were 4,848 women aged 19 to 64 years in 2019 and 2020. Data analysis using the complex sampling design was performed using SPSS 20.1.Results: Positive changes during the pandemic compared to before the pandemic in Korean adult women were found for improved subjective oral health perceptions (odds ratio [OR], 1.77; p<.001), increased moderate-intensity exercise in work and leisure activities (OR, 1.75; p<.001 and OR; 1.29, p=.004), and a decrease in secondhand smoke exposure at the workplace and in public places (OR, 0.64; p=.004 and OR, 0.60; p<.001). However, the following negative health behavior changes were found: decreased frequency of walking 5 days a week (OR, 0.81; p=.011) and an increase in unhealthy daytime sleep durations (OR, 1.40; p=006).Conclusion: Compared to before the COVID-19 pandemic, Korean adult women perceived their subjective dental health more positively during the COVID-19 pandemic, decreased their exposure to secondhand smoke at work and in public places, decreased walking, and increased sleep duration during the week. Since this study only compared data between 1 year before and after the start of the pandemic, it is necessary to investigate a longer period of time in the future. A future study should attempt to identify the factors related to changes in health behaviors caused by the pandemic.

<P>The surface of Pd@SiO<SUB>2</SUB> core–shell nanoparticles(<B>1</B>) was simply modified by the formation of nickel phyllosilicate.The addition of nickel salts formed branched nickel phyllosilicatesand generated pores in the silica shells, yielding Pd@SiO<SUB>2</SUB>–Niphy nanoparticles (Niphy = nickel phyllosilicate; <B>2</B>, <B>3</B>). By removal of the silica residue, Pd@Niphyyolk–shell nanoparticles (<B>4</B>) was uniformly obtained.The four distinct nanostructures (<B>1</B>–<B>4</B>) were employed as catalysts for Suzuki coupling reactions with arylbromide and phenylboronic acid, and the conversion yields were inthe order of <B>1</B> < <B>2</B> < <B>3</B> < <B>4</B> as the pore volume and surface area of the catalystsincreased. The reaction rates were strongly correlated with shellporosity and surface exposure of the metal cores. Purpose: This study investigated the impact of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on women’s health nursing clinical practicums in undergraduate nursing schools in Korea during the spring 2020 semester. Methods: A cross-sectional online survey on clinical practicum teaching experiences in the spring 2020 semester was distributed to members of the Korean Society of Women Health Nursing (KSWHN) who taught undergraduate nursing. One faculty member from each of 203 institutions was requested to respond and there were no duplicate participants. Seventy-nine participants (38.9%) responded and 74 responses were analyzed. Descriptive statistics were presented for all survey items. Results: Fifty-two faculty members (70.3%) belonged to universities and 22 (29.7%) taught at colleges. Thirty-eight (51.4%) answered that their institutions had affiliated teaching hospitals. More than half (52.7%) conducted hospital-based clinical practicums either entirely (n=20) or partially (n=19), whereas the rest of them (47.3%) conducted clinical practicums at school or home via online teaching. The typical teaching methods for offline or online education were case conferences, tests or quizzes, scenario studies, nursing skill practicums, (virtual) nursing simulations, and simulated patient education. Most of faculties (93.2%) supported the development of an educational platform to share educational materials and resources, such as case scenarios. Conclusion: Nursing faculty members utilized various teaching methods to enhance clinical skills and mitigate limited clinical exposure during the early stage of the COVID-19 pandemic. The KSWHN should move forward to develop an education platform and modalities for members who face many challenges related to the accessibility and quality of nursing education contents.

본 연구는 진로지도준비교육이 대학생의 셀프리더십과 진로내외통제위에 미치는 영향을 확인하기 위하여 수행되었다. 목표를 성취하기 위하여 스스로를 통제하고 이끌어 가는 능력인 셀프리더십과 진로 및 취업결과에 대해 가족 및 환경 등 외부의 탓으로 여기거나 스스로 역량이나 준비 등 자신의 능력 등 내부의 탓으로 생각하는 진로내외통제위는 취업에 대한 중요한 변수로 알려져 있다. 연구에 대한 목적과 참여방법을 설명하고 이에 동의한 대학생 58명을 대상으로 15주간 진로준비프로그램을 제공하였고, 자료수집은 2016년 3월부터 6월까지 D시에 위치한 H대학교에서 수행되었다. 진로준비프로그램은 취업 준비에 대한 구체적인 내용뿐만 아니라 구직을 준비하는 학생 스스로 자신에 대한 이해를 높이도록 자기탐색 및 자기주도 기반으로 구성되었다. 프로그램의 사전과 사후 시점에서 셀프리더십과 진로자기통제위가 측정되었고 SPSS 21.0으로 분석되었다. 연구결과, 자기탐색과 자기주도기반의 진로준비프로그램은 학생들의 셀프리더십을 높였고(t=-4.45, p=. 00), 진로내외통제위 중 특히 내적통제위를 높이는 것으로 확인되었다(t=-3.26, p=. 00). 따라서 본 연구결과 추후 자기탐색을 기반으로 하는 진로지도 프로그램을 대학생의 진로준비에 적극적으로 적용 할 것을 제안한다. This study was conducted to investigate the effects of a career preparation program (CPP) on self-leadership (SL) and career locus of control (CLOC) among University Students in South Korea. Self-leadership is the ability to control and lead oneself to achieve goals. CLOC is that attribute own"s success of failure to own"s effort and ability internally or luck or environment externally. Both have been known to strongly affect variables associated with career planning. We also explored SL and CLOC based on the variable related subjects" characteristics. Method: After receiving informed consent, 58 subjects were collected from University in D metropolitan area in Korea from March to June 2016. CPP was provided to college students who agreed to join this study, which consisted of a 15 week career development program. During the program, recruitment information was provided as well as encouragement and motivation. The program also focused on self-exploring and self-initiating experiences by themselves. Data were collected before and post CPP and were analyzed using SPSS 21.0. Result: self-leadership increased from 3.02±0.36 points to 3.23±0.35 points after CPP (t=-4.45, p=0.00). There were significant differences in self-leadership and in internal attribution (t=-3.26, p=0.00). The CPP based on the understanding of oneself was effective to cultivate university students" self-leadership. Moreover, the CPP increased internal attribution of the college students significantly from 2.96±0.35 points to 3.15±0.32 points (t=-3.26, p=0.00). CPP was also found to effectively influence the internal locus of control. Although external attribution was reduced from 2.19±0.31 to 2.13±0.35, this different was not significant (t=1.68, p=0.09). Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that the CPP based on understanding of oneself should be actively applied in career education.
