The article studies the discourse and a legal uncertainty of the popular and generally understandable concept of cybercrime. The authors reveal the doctrinal approaches to the definition of cybercrime, cyberspace, computer crime. The analysis of international legal acts and legislation of Ukraine in fighting cybercrime is carried out. The conclusion is made about the need to improve national legislation and establish international cooperation to develop the tools for countering cybercrime and minimizing its negative outcomes. The phenomenon of nicknames is studied as a semantic source, which potentially generates a number of threats and troubles - the crisis of traditional anthroponymic culture, identity crisis, hidden sociality, and indefinite institutionalization, incognito style, a range of manifestations of loneliness - from voluntary solitude to traumatic isolation and forced detachment. The core idea is that it is the phenomenon of incognito and hidden name (nickname and other alternatives) that is the motivational stimulus for the fact of information trouble or crime.

A method of hydrodynamic discrete sources is applied for two-dimensional modeling of stepped planing surfaces. The water surface deformations, wetted hull lengths, and pressure distribution are calculated at given hull attitude and Froude number. Pressurized air cavities that improve hydrodynamic performance can also be modeled with the current method. Presented results include validation examples, parametric calculations of a single-step hull, effect of trim tabs, and performance of an infinite series of periodic stepped surfaces. It is shown that transverse steps can lead to higher lift-drag ratio, although at reduced lift capability, in comparison with a stepless hull. Performance of a multi-step configuration is sensitive to the wave pattern between hulls, which depends on Froude number and relative hull spacing.

The article reveals the essence of cybercrime, approaches to understanding this concept, classification of cybercrime, and other illegal acts in this area. The concept of cybercrime has multi-discourse nature and a certain legal uncertainty. Cybercrimes, their forms and types are analyzed in the economic context. The research vocabulary of the economic industry is defined. The scope and content of concepts denoted by the terms of the sphere covered by cybercrime are studied, and its types and forms are analyzed. The article studies problems, achievements, and prospects of resisting and combating cybercrime during the development of the civil information society and Ukraine's entry into the global information space. The study focuses on the economic motivation of most cybercrimes since some material benefit from the fact of cyber offenses is assumed directly or indirectly.

High-speed heavy loaded monohull ships can benefit from application of drag-reducing air cavities under stepped hull bottoms. The subject of this paper is the steady hydrodynamic modeling of semi-planing air-cavity hulls. The current method is based on a linearized potential-flow theory for surface flows. The mathematical model description and parametric calculation results for a selected configuration with pressurized and open air cavities are presented.

A team of Dubins-vehicle-like robots travels in a plane that hosts an unpredictably varying scalar field. The team has to find and then closely follow the moving and deforming level set (isoline) where the field assumes a prespecified value, and also has to autonomously achieve an effective self-distribution along the isoline, with the even one being the ideal option. Any robot can measure only the field value at the current location and the relative positions of the peers within a finite range of sensing; an exchange of data within a finite communication range is possible. Every robot is controlled by its longitudinal acceleration and angular velocity, which are limited in absolute value; the longitudinal speeds are bounded from both above and below with given constants. We present a hybrid navigation law that solves the mission; in particular, it ensures an effective self-distribution of the team along the isoline, which comes to the even one if the isoline eventually stops. The proposed law does not rely on estimation of the field’s gradient. Mathematically rigorous justification of this law is provided and its effectiveness is confirmed by computer simulation tests.

We consider a team of identical agents that are unaware of the team size, cannot discern between the peers or play distinct roles, and should be driven a common control rule, which is to be individually run at any of them. Every agent has access to the relative state of any peer that lies within a finite “visibility range” if nobody “obscures the view” to the peer. Computationally inexpensive distributed algorithms are presented for solution of the following problems: distribution of the agents into nodes of a uniform grid with a given step without gaps and multiple occupancy of nodes; reaching consensus on a quantity of interest (QoI); even self-distribution between two given values of QoI. These algorithms are illustrated by using them as building blocks for control laws that ensure first, dense sweep coverage of corridor environments by planar robotic swarms and second, autonomously building a virtual antenna array in 3D by mobile devices. The proposed algorithms are justified by mathematically rigorous global convergence results; their performance is confirmed by computer simulation tests.

Effective brand management is vital for building the necessary bond between an organization and its consumers. LG Electronics serves as a notable example of a global company that effectively communicates its brand in diverse markets. This study focuses on the remarkable case of LG Electronics’ LCD Monitors and plasma TV screens to highlight critical elements of effective brand management across the different cultural contexts of the United Kingdom and the Russian Federation. The findings reveal that LG Electronics standardizes part of its logo and slogan in both cultures. However, the company uses different communication strategies in the UK and Russia. Specifically, LG uses a differentiated strategy with regard to both the visual and the written components of its high-involvement print advertisements. However, it uses a mixed strategy of standardized visual and differentiated written components in its low-involvement TV advertisements. These differences in LG Electronics’ print and TV advertisement strategies in two diverse cultures augment contemporary brand management research.

Modeling of steady motion and vertical-plane dynamics of a tunnel hull

High-speed marine vehicles can take advantage of aerodynamically supported platforms or air wings to increase maximum speed or transportation efficiency. However, this also results in increased complexity of boat dynamics, especially in the presence of waves and wind gusts. In this study, a mathematical model based on the fully unsteady aerodynamic extreme-ground-effect theory and the hydrodynamic added-mass strip theory is applied for simulating vertical-plane motions of a tunnel hull in a disturbed environment, as well as determining its steady states in calm conditions. Calculated responses of the boat to wind gusts and surface waves are demonstrated. The present model can be used as a supplementary method for preliminary estimations of performance of aerodynamically assisted marine craft.
