Renal Cell Carcinoma with Double Synchronous Contralateral Adrenal Metastases

A 63-year-old male patient visited our hospital with a right incidental renal tumor, which was found by ultrasonography for the follow-up study of chronic hepatitis B virus infection and diabetes mellitus. Consecutive computed tomography revealed a right renal tumor and two left adrenal tumors. Further systemic imaging study and hormonal examination suggested one right renal cell carcinoma and left adrenal metastases. We performed right nephrectomy and left adrenalectomy. The pathological diagnoses of all resected tumors were renal cell carcinoma. The patient has been in good health without any recurrence for 12 months since the operation. In patients with renal cell carcinoma, contralateral adrenal metastasis is usually associated with multiple metastases to other organs. There are a few cases of solitary and synchronous contralateral adrenal metastasis in the English literature. To our knowledge, this is the first report of a case of renal cell carcinoma with double synchronous contralateral adrenal metastases.
An Application of the Mutually Complementary network to Small Office Buildings

Although the mutually complementary network of wired and wireless was studied as an object for home houses and the result was got, adaptation evaluation was tried for it to small-scale buildings, such as a school building, this time. Consequently, it found out that the mutually complementary network of wired and wireless had the possibility of adaptation also at a small-scale building. In the home house, the performance of a mutually complementary network obtained 96.0% by the case of 70.0% of wired-communications performances, and 80.2% of wireless-communications performances. However, it becomes 70.6% and a communication performance is bad at a small-scale building. As the countermeasure, it found out utilizing the wireless-communications function of a stairs part positively this time.

Infinite-dilution activity coefficients of n-alcohols (C₁-C_8) in water were measured by using the relative gas-liquid chromatographic method proposed by Orbey and Sandier [1991]. The temperature range of measurement was 298 to 343 K. The γ^∞values at 298.15 K varied from 1.72 (methanol) to 1970 (n-heptanol). ASOG, UNIFAC, modified UMFAC (Dortmund), modified UNIFAC (Lyngby) group contribution methods could predict γ^∞ to within 16.9, 28.8, 23.9 and 31.8 average percent error, respectively, for all systems and temperatures.
