Magnesium borate (Mg 2 B 2 O 5 Þ nanorods were synthesized by a two-step process, includingsolution-chemical technology and a ternary-°ux method, using concentrated seawater and H 3 BO 3as raw materials. X-ray di®raction (XRD) showed that the sample had triclinic structure. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM) indicated that it consisted of rod-like particles with an average diameter of 100 – 150 nmand length over 5 ? m. Di®erential thermal analysis (DTA) con¯rmed that the melting point ofthe ternary-°ux and the formation temperature of Mg 2 B 2 O 5 were lower than single-°ux process. The formation of Mg 2 B 2 O 5 nanorods was more e±cient by ternary-°ux than single-°ux. Me-chanical property of Mg 2 B 2 O 5 nanorods reinforced Nylon-6 composites showed that KH550 wasthe optimal coupling agent and made the strength of the composites to be improved to differentdegrees.
Dual-Phase Shifting Strategy for CLLC Resonant Converters

The CLLC resonant converter has the advantages of bidirectional power transmission, natural soft switching, and wide range voltage output. However, the gain curve is relatively smooth during high-frequency light-load operation, and it is diffi cult to adjust through frequency conversion; the traditional fundamental harmonic approximation (FHA) method has a large error in calculating the gain at a position away from the resonance point, which brings diffi culties to the design. In order to better design the converter, this paper proposes a dual phase-shift (DPS) control method based on time-domain analysis, which can achieve a wide voltage range output without losing soft switching, and has constant current source output characteristics. Firstly, the time-domain model of the CLLC converter is analyzed, and the output voltage gain and soft switching range under DPS control are solved; then a simulation is built for verifi cation; fi nally, a 200/80 V, rated power 500 W full-bridge CLLC resonant converter experimental prototype is built. The experimental results prove that the converter has good soft switching range and constant current source output characteristics.

Introduction: Reported prognostic roles of hypoxic inducible factor (HIF) expression in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) have varied. This meta-analysis aimed to examine the relationship between HIF expression and clinical outcome in NSCLC patients. Methods: PubMed were used to identify relevant literature with the last report up to December $20^{th}$, 2012. After careful review, survival data were collected from eligible studies. We completed the meta-analysis using Stata statistical software (Version 11) and combined hazard ratio (HR) for overall survival (OS). Subgroup specificity, heterogeneity and publication bias were also assessed. All of the results were verified by two persons to ensure accuracy. Results: Eight studies were finally stepped into this meta-analysis in which seven had available data for HIF-$1{\alpha}$ and three for HIF-$2{\alpha}$. Combined HRs suggested that higher expression of $HIF1{\alpha}$ had a negative impact on NSCLC patient survival (HR=1.50; 95%CI=1.07-2.10; p=0.019). The expression of HIF-$2{\alpha}$ was also relative to a poorer survival (HR=2.02; 95%CI=1.47-2.77; p=0.000). No bias existed in either of the two groups. Conclusion: This study suggests that elevations of HIF-$1{\alpha}$ and HIF-$2{\alpha}$ expression are both associated with poor outcome for patients with NSCLC. The data support further and high quality investigation of HIF expression for predicting poor outcome in patients with NSCLC.
