초등학교 자연 수업에 적용한 POE 학습에서 내·외향성에 따른 소집단 구성의 효과

이 연구에서는 초등학교 자연 수업에 적용한 POE 학습에서 학생들의 내, 외향성에 따른 소집단 구성의 효과를 학업 성취도, 학습 환경에 대한 인식, 과학 수업에 대한 태도의 측면에서 조사하였다. 초등학교 5학년 95명을 통제 집단과 실험 집단으로 배치한 후, 산과 염기에 대하여 9차시 동안 수업하였다. 실험 집단의 동질 집단은 내향적 학생 4명을 1개 소집단으로, 이질 집단은 내향적 학생 2명과 외향적 학생 2명을 1개 소집단으로 구성하였다. 이원 공변량 분석 결과, 학업 성취도의 적용 영역에서 동질 집단의 점수가 통제 집단보다 높았다. 학습의 곤란도에서 이질 집단과 통제 집단 사이에 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 과학 수업에 대한 태도에서 수업 처치와 학생들의 내, 외향적 사이에 상호작용 효과가 나타났다. In this study, the effects of grouping by extraversion and introversion in POE learning applied to elementary science class on students' achievement, the perception of learning environment and the attitude toward science instruction were investigated. Ninety-five 5th graders were assigned to the control group and the experimental groups, and taught about acid and base for 9 class hours. In the experimental groups, the homogeneous small group was composed of four introverts or four extroverts, and the heterogeneous small group was composed of two introverts and two extroverts. Two-way ANCOVA results revealed that the homogeneous group performed better than the control group in the application subtest of the achievement test. Significant difference in learning difficulty was found between the heterogeneous group and the control group. In the attitude toward science class, significant interaction effect was found between the instruction and the extraversion/introversion.
