무선 센서 네트워크에서 이동 센서 노드 이용으로 최적 라우팅 방법
한성훈(Sunghoon Han),한기준(KiJun Han) 한국정보과학회 2006 한국정보과학회 학술발표논문집 Vol.33 No.2D

Abstract

As the density of graphite anode is increasing, the pore size and volume in the graphite anode is reduced, which results in a decrease in the electrolyte permeability of electrode. The electrochemical degradation of high density graphite anode due to the low permeability is a major obstacle to its use as anode for lithium ion batteries. In this study, we report on high density graphite anode with the carbon additive added that provides micron size pore structure of the high density graphite anode, which results in an increase in the rate capability. The high density graphite anode with carbon additive exhibited 32.4% higher rate capability at 1C compared to the high density graphite anode without carbon additive. This improvement is mainly attributed to the increased micron-size pores, which enhances the kinetic associated with lithium by improved electrolyte permeation and increased interface between the electrolyte and active material.

OUT-OF-PLANE BEHAVIOR OF A CURVED BEAM USING SHEAR DEFORMABLE BEAM THEORY
Jiwon Han,Kijun Kang 호서대학교 공업기술연구소 1997 공업기술연구 논문집 Vol.16 No.1
Both the exact d osed —form solution and a numerical solution by the differential quadrature method (D. Q. M.) are obtained to predict the ou t-of-p lan e behavior of a curved beam subjected to torque, based on the curved-beam version of the shear deformable (Bresse-Tim oshenko) beam theory. Deflections, twist angles, angles of rotation, bending moments and twisting moments are calculated for the case of a circular arc of circular cross section with clamped and simply supported boundary conditions, and results obtained by both methods are compared. The D. Q. M. gives good accuracy for only a limited number of grid points.

Optimizing the balance between different handover parameters for network selection is one of the challenging tasks for seamless communication in heterogeneous networks. Traditional approaches for network selection are mostly based on the Receive Signal Strength (RSS) from the Point of Attachment (PoA) of a network. Most of these schemes are suffered from high handover delay, false handover indications, and inappropriate network selection for handover. To address these problems, we present an optimized network selection scheme based on the speed of a mobile node. A mechanism based on two different thresholds on the speed of a Mobile Node (MN) is integrated in the proposed scheme. If the speed of an MN is greater than any of the threshold, the MN performs handover to a particular network. We employ Grey Relational Analysis (GRA) in the proposed scheme to select the best PoA of the selected network. Similarly, to deal with false handover indications, we proposed an optimized handover triggering technique. We compare our proposed scheme with existing schemes in context of energy consumption for scanning, frequent and failed handovers, packet loss ratio, and handover delay. The proposed scheme shows superior performance and it outperforms existing schemes used for similar purpose. Moreover, simulation results show the accuracy and performance of the proposed scheme.

A New Hybrid Scheme for Preventing Channel Interference and Collision in Mobile Networks
KIM, Kyungjun,HAN, Kijun The Institute of Electronics, Information and Comm 2010 IEICE TRANSACTIONS ON COMMUNICATIONS - Vol.93 No.2

This paper proposes a new hybrid scheme based on a given set of channels for preventing channel interference and collision in mobile networks. The proposed scheme is designed for improving system performance, focusing on enhancement of performance related to path breakage and channel interference. The objective of this scheme is to improve the performance of inter-node communication. Simulation results from this paper show that the new hybrid scheme can reduce a more control message overhead than a conventional random scheme.

Maximum Power Plus RSSI Based Routing Protocol for Bluetooth Low Energy Ad Hoc Networks
Jung, Changsu,Han, Kijun WILEY INTERSCIENCE 2017 WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS AND MOBILE COMPUTING Vol.2017 No.-

This paper proposes a novel energy-conserving multihop routing protocol to maximize network lifetime and consume the battery in a distributed manner during route discovery in energy-constrained Bluetooth Low Energy ad hoc networks. Furthermore, a flooding avoidance approach is adopted by the proposed scheme to minimize the number of route request packets flooded. In addition, the proposed scheme maximizes network lifetime by using residual battery and RSSI as a route metric. The simulation results confirm that our proposed scheme has a surpassing performance with regard to network lifetime, evenly distributed battery consumption, and route discovery latency compared with the traditional on-demand routing protocol.

Backoff scheme for crowded Bluetooth low energy networks
Kim, Jinbae,Han, Kijun IET 2017 IET communications Vol.11 No.4

Bluetooth low energy (BLE) has received much attention from researchers as one of the prominent solutions for short-range communication. The applications of BLE are growing rapidly and there are many issues to be resolved for establishing the deployment of it. Practically, BLE devices may experience a lot of collisions during discovery process due to contention among devices, particularly in a crowded environment. With an increasing number of BLE devices, discovery latency and energy consumption rise exponentially, which could degrade the quality of service required by user applications. In this study, the authors propose an enhanced discovery mechanism by employing a backoff strategy for BLE devices to reduce collisions during advertisement process. Through experimental and mathematical analysis, the proposed mechanism has shown its effectiveness in terms of discovery latency and energy consumption in crowded BLE networks.
