Comparison of Efficiency for Different Switching Tables in Six-Phase Induction Motor DTC Drive
Taheri, Asghar,Rahmati, Abdolreza,Kaboli, Shahriyar The Korean Institute of Power Electronics 2012 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.12 No.1
In this paper, different switching tables proposed for the Direct Torque Controlled (DTC) of a six-phase induction machine are simulated and implemented. A six-phase induction motor has 64 space voltage vectors which result in increased complexity in the selecting of inverters switching. The unsuitable selection of a switching table leads to large harmonics especially at low speed and it also reduces drive efficiency. A six-phase induction machine has large zero sequence harmonic currents of the order $6{\kappa}{\pm}1$. These harmonic currents are varied in various techniques. Decreasing this loss is essential in a six-phase induction machine. The main purpose of this paper is to improve the ST-DTC of six-phase induction machines to reduce the voltage and current harmonics and the torque pulsation. Selecting a suitable method for minimizing these harmonics is very important.

Salamandra infraimmaculata is a member of family Salamandridae that is distributed in Iran, Turkey, and Lebanon. We surveyed habitat suitability predictions for the species in Kurdistan province, Western Iran. Distribution prediction showed excellent performance (area under the curve = 0.962), with temperature seasonality (47.8%) and precipitation of coldest quarter (38.4%) being two main bioclimatic variables predicting species presence. Temperature and precipitation are two dependent variables on which vegetation and habitat type depend. Slopes of the western Zagros Mountains have moist and temperate oak forests that contain many springs. The presence of both oak forests and water resources may allow the establishment of populations of fire salamanders in the region. As the forests are decreasing because of human activities, the amount of suitable habitats for this species is also decreasing. It is necessary to develop and implement conservation programs to protect the oak forests on the western slopes of the Zagros.

This study pioneered the synthesis of BiOCl/Bi2Mo3O12 as a composite photocatalyst using a simple onestephydrothermal method with polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) as a structure-directing agent. Characterizing the synthesizedsamples using different physical and chemical techniques indicated the presence of PVP in reaction solution isbeneficial to growth Bi2Mo3O12 phase. In addition, the synthesized samples in the presence of PVP display a red-shift inthe bandgap, which improves light absorption in the visible region. The photocatalytic performance of the samples wasinvestigated in terms of the decolorization of rhodamine B (RhB) under visible light irradiation. Comparing the photocatalyticperformance of synthesized samples using different PVP amounts (0-0.5 g) showed their optimal performancein the presence of 0.1 g of PVP. Results indicated that nearly 98% of RhB was degraded within 60min undervisible light irradiation. The pH effect of the RhB solution and catalyst amount on photocatalytic performance werealso investigated, and active species trapping determined the main species participating in photocatalytic reactions.
