        Nomograms to Predict the Individual Survival of Patients with Solitary Hepatocellular Carcinoma after Hepatectomy

        Background/Aims: Solitary hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a subgroup of HCCs. We aimed to establish nomograms for predicting the survival of solitary HCC patients after hepatectomy. Methods: A total of 538 solitary HCC patients were randomly classified into training and validation sets. A Cox model was used to identify predictors of overall survival (OS) in the training set. A nomogram was generated based on these predictors and was validated using the validation set. Results: Tumor size, microvascular invasion, and major vascular invasion were significantly associated with OS in the training set. Nomograms were developed based on these predictors in the multivariate analysis. The C-index was 0.75 for the OS nomogram and 0.72 for the recurrence-free sur-vival nomogram. Compared to the index of conventional stag-ing systems for predicting survival (0.71 for Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer, 0.66 for the seventh American Joint Committee on Cancer, 0.68 for Cancer of the Liver Italian Program, and 0.70 for Hong Kong Liver Cancer), the index of the OS nomo-gram was significantly higher. Moreover, the calibration curve fitted well between the predicted and observed survival rate. Similarly, in the validation set, the nomogram discrimination was superior to those of the four staging systems (p<0.001). Conclusions: The nomograms demonstrated good discrimi-nation performance in predicting 3- and 5-year survival rates for solitary HCCs after hepatectomy. (Gut Liver 2017;11:684- 692)

        Joint wireless and computational resource allocation for ultra-dense mobile-edge computing networks

        In this paper, we study the joint radio and computational resource allocation in the ultra-dense mobile-edge computing networks. In which, the scenario which including both computation offloading and communication service is discussed. That is, some mobile users ask for computation offloading, while the others ask for communication with the minimum communication rate requirements. We formulate the problem as a joint channel assignment, power control and computational resource allocation to minimize the offloading cost of computing offloading, with the precondition that the transmission rate of communication nodes are satisfied. Since the formulated problem is a mixed-integer nonlinear programming (MINLP), which is NP-hard. By leveraging the particular mathematical structure of the problem, i.e., the computational resource allocation variable is independent with other variables in the objective function and constraints, and then the original problem is decomposed into a computational resource allocation subproblem and a joint channel assignment and power allocation subproblem. Since the former is a convex programming, the KKT (Karush-Kuhn-Tucker) conditions can be used to find the closed optimal solution. For the latter, which is still NP-hard, is further decomposed into two subproblems, i.e., the power allocation and the channel assignment, to optimize alternatively. Finally, two heuristic algorithms are proposed, i.e., the Co-channel Equal Power allocation algorithm (CEP) and the Enhanced CEP (ECEP) algorithm to obtain the suboptimal solutions. Numerical results are presented at last to verify the performance of the proposed algorithms.

        移动互联网的迅速发展, 使得媒体环境发生了深刻的变革, 用户接受新闻资讯的习惯从一开始的文字到现在的短视频阅读,新闻资讯短视频的出现成为新闻媒体行业的利器。 本文以“梨视频”为例, 对梨视频的运营模式的内容特征、 用户黏性、 品牌推广等方面进行研究, 同时对目前“梨视频APP”运营中呈现的优劣势进行分析总结, 以期对新闻资讯短视频平台未来的发展提出相应的建议。 With the rapid development of mobile Internet, the media environment has undergone profound changes. Users habit of receiving news and information has changed from the initial text to the current short video reading. The emergence of short video news and information has become a sharp weapon in the news media industry. Under the background of Internet + and Artificial Intelligence + , users consumption habits and news production models will also change greatly. Therefore, it is urgent to further explore the development of news-information short video platforms and explore more optimized development strategies. Firstly, this paper makes an analysis of the current situation of the whole news and information short video platform. Secondly, taking Pear Video as an example, this paper studies the content characteristics, user stickiness, brand positioning, profit-making mode of its operation mode, at the same time, it analyzes and summarizes the difficulties faced in the current operation of Pear Video and the advantages and disadvantages presented. Finally, the short video platform for news information should insist on content as the king, introduce advanced technology and original content; strengthen brand marketing, improve its own platform construction; find a profit model suitable for the platform itself, improve business transformation, expand revenue in other fields; improve copyright protection, Identify the issue of copyright ownership; actively cooperate with traditional media to achieve complementary recommendations.
