NiO/Ti3C2Tx MXene nanocomposites sensor for ammonia gas detection at room temperature
Jiacheng Yang,Yingang Gui,Yunfeng Wang,Shasha He 한국공업화학회 2023 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.119 No.-
Poultry feeding will lead to a large amount of ammonia(NH3) emissions, which will seriously affect thequality of meat. Herein, we report a resistive sensor based on NiO/Ti3C2Tx sensitive nanocompositesfor NH3 detection in a natural environment. The nanocomposites were prepared by modifying twodimensional(2D) Ti3C2Tx MXene with nickel oxide (NiO) nanoparticles (NPs) by a simple ultrasonicself-assembly method. The results show that the NiO/Ti3C2Tx MXene nanocomposite sensor exhibits ahigh sensitivity of 6.13 % to 50 ppm NH3 at room temperature (RT), which is 8.7 times higher than thatof the pure Ti3C2Tx MXene sensor. In other words, the addition of NiO NPs can significantly enhance thegas-sensing response of pure Ti3C2Tx MXene to NH3 at RT. Meanwhile, the response and recovery timewere also effectively improved (63 s/19 s) due to the addition of NiO NPs. Furthermore, the responseof the nanocomposite sensor to volatile organic compounds (VOCs) was investigated, and the resultsshowed its prospective and high selectivity. On the other hand, the nanocomposite sensor exhibits goodrepeatability and long-term stability. Finally, a possible sensing mechanism is proposed to improve sensorperformance.

"Novel hierarchical porous NiMoS4 microspheres with high electrochemical performance was successfully prepared using a facile one-step hydrothermal method. The dual application of porous NiMoS4 microspheres in energy harvesting and storage (i.e., dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) and supercapacitors (SCs), respectively) is explored. In contrast to NiS2 nanosheets, MoS2 nanosheets and Pt counter electrodes (CEs), the NiMoS4 microspheres CE demonstrated the lowest charge transfer resistance and highest electrocatalytic activity for the I3 - /I - redox couple reaction. The NiMoS4-based DSSC showed a higher power conversion efficiency (8.9%) even than that of Pt-based DSSC (8.7%) under simulated standard global AM 1.5G sunlight (100 mW cm -2). As an electroactive material for SCs, the assembled NiMoS4//AC asymmetric supercapacitor showed excellent specific capacitance (118.7 F g -1 at 1 Ag -1), high energy density of 42.2 Wh kg -1 (with a power density of 799.2 W kg -1), and superior cycling durability with a specific capacitance retention of 79.5% after 9000 cycles at 3 A g -1."

This paper studies the adaptive control problem for unknown time-varying high-order nonlinear multiagent systems (MASs) with directed topology. A novel low-complexity distributed adaptive backstepping controller is developed to achieve the asymptotic synchronization. The designed controller regards the unknown system nonlinearities as “disturbance-like” terms, which are guaranteed to be bounded by using the barrier functions, such that detail models of system nonlinearities are released. Then, the “disturbance-like” terms are compensated adaptively by designing the novel compensator at each step, such that the synchronization error is eliminated to zero eventually for each agent. In addition, unlike the existing backstepping-like synchronization approaches for high-order nonlinear MASs, the “explosion of complexity” issue is avoided without extra low-pass filters. Some simulations are shown to demonstrate the effectiveness and advantages of the developed method.
Anti-rollover of the counterbalanced forklift truck based on model predictive control

To reduce the probability of a rollover accident of a forklift during high-speed steering, a hydraulic support cylinder is designed as an actuator to provide lateral support for the forklift. Aiming at the problem of judging the safety domain in the process of forklift driving, this paper proposes a strategy for dividing the forklift’s driving state on the basis of the zero moment point. The relationship between the zero moment point’s lateral component and the forklift’s support plane is used as the basis for division. The forklift rollover process is divided into a safe stage, a controllable danger stage, and a critical rollover stage. In the safe stage, the cylinder does not provide support force, and in the controllable danger stage, the cylinder support force is adjusted on the basis of the model predictive control algorithm to adjust the forklift. The cylinder can be controlled to provide maximum support for the body during the critical rollover phase. This method takes the three-degrees-of-freedom forklift anti-rollover model as the control object and serves as the basis for the calculation of the zero moment point. The anti-rollover controller is built in MATLAB/Simulink to simulate the European standard operating conditions and to verify the actual vehicle test. Results show that the predictive control of the forklift anti-rollover model based on the zero moment point can effectively improve the body attitude of the forklift during high-speed steering and prevent the forklift from rolling over.

Brassica napus is a dicotyledonous plant in the family Brassicaceae. It is an important oil crop which has been widely cultivated over the world. However, drought stress is a very important threatening to B. napus production. In this study, two B. napus strains with different resistance to drought stress were treated with 200 g/L PEG-6000 as drought simulation agent (marked as S, R)and two controls were treated with 1/2 Hoagland medium(marked as ST, RT). With the help of Illumina paired-end RNA-seq technology and de novo assembly by Trinity, we obtained 107,294 Unigenes (integrated four sample results) with an average length of 834 bp and N50 1245. Of these Unigenes, 84,768, 92,545, 54,857, 28,129, 75,278 were assigned to NR, NT, Swiss-Prot, COG and GO database respectively. A total of 46,861 were mapped to 128 pathways by BLAST comparison against the KEGG database. In order to have an overall understanding of the unique genes’ expression difference among four samples, we utilized RPKM to calculate Unigene expression, and to identify differentially expressed genes. Besides, 22,414 SSRs were developed in this study.
Observer-based Actuator Fault Detection and Robust Tolerant Control for Vehicle Platoons
Xiaomin Liu,Maode Yan,Panpan Yang,Jiacheng Song 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2023 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.21 No.4
This paper investigates the actuator fault detection and tolerant control problem for vehicle platoons with partial loss of effectiveness and bias faults. Considering the inherent coupling between the control input and the nonlinear term in the actuator, a decoupled observer based fault detection algorithm with time-varying threshold is developed to decide whether the actuator fault occurs in the platoon. Then, by employing radial basis function neural networks (RBF NNs) and backstepping control method, an adaptive robust fault-tolerant control (FTC) scheme is proposed, which is proved to be capable of achieving the safety, stability and tracking performance of vehicle platoons in the presence of actuator fault. Simulation studies illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Practical application of oxygen evolution reaction (OER) in energy conversion devices, such as water splitting and metal-air batteries, relies on the development of highly efficient and stable electrocatalysts and is still challengeable. Here, Nickel modulated ternary Iron tungsten nitride (Ni-FeWN2) nanosheets are synthesized through a facile hydrothermal growth method and subsequently nitriding process for boosting OER. A potential of 1.57V at the current density of 10 mA/cm2 and Tafel slope (40 mV/dec) are achieved on Ni-FeWN2, much lower than that on Ni-free FeWN2 and commercial IrO2. More importantly, Ni-FeWN2 nanosheets display high stability and electrocatalytic activity toward driving oxygen evolution efficiently in alkaline media.
