A Framework for Intent-based Networking leveraging Software-Defined Networks

In this paper, an Intent-based networking Framework is proposed leveraging the central controller intelligence premise of software-defined networking (SDN). The quality-of-service (QoS) is provisioned according to the application service request priorities by the SDN controller. To achieve this, in this paper, we use the Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) as a module on the SDN controller for intent-based routing. An AHP module employed at the SDN controller prioritizes the application objectives and overarching parameters to compute the route from source to destination. The AHP module at the SDN controller prioritizes the application service priorities, and the SDN controller will compute the route according to the intents from the AHP module. The controller will prioritize the intents of the applications according to the eigen priority vector obtained for that application service requests from the AHP module according to the criteria priority values.
A Framework for Effective Switch Migration in Software-Defined Networks

Software-Defined Networks (SDN) need a reliable and robust control plane. To make the control plane available to the underlying network, the controller must be available all the time. To deal with failures, the switches of the failed controller are assigned to a slave controller. Hence, the slave controller is available in backup to the switches attached with a master controller. In this paper, we formulate the problem of switch migration to the slave controller as a 0/1 knapsack problem. Finally, we compared our scheme with the static method of switch migration. The results show the effectiveness of our proposed scheme.
A Framework for secure access control using Blockchain Networks

Recent solutions of storing and distribution of patient data have a number of confines that limits users access to their patient health records(PHR), decrease accessibility of critical information to care providers, and eventually extant a boundary in the transfer of traditional healthcare into a digital healthcare approach. In order to remediate such shortcomings blockchain based solution is the best tool to provide storage and trust. In digital healthcare data allocation, numerous cloud based approaches have been suggested, but it would be untrustworthy to rely on the third-party. In recent times, blockchain has been implemented in digital healthcare record sharing, which skip to trust on a third party. Although, current methods only focus over the clinical related records received from medical diagnosis. They are not considered resourceful regarding its data sharing which are always generated from biomedical and monitoring devices. In this research we have proposed blockchain as a novel approach to secure patient related data access, implementation obstacles, and a strategy for transitioning gradually from current technology to a blockchain based solution. Comparative analysis of different types of alcohol consumption on Life Expectancy

In this paper, we selected 15 countries for comparative analysis of total and individual types of alcohol consumption and among which, 7 countries of Life Expectancy (LE) from both developed countries and developing countries. We categorized alcohol drinks into three types, namely, beer, spirit and wine. Interestingly, although some countries have very similar amount of alcohol consumption per capita, the result which led by alcohol consumption of different types can make a big difference. In other words, the impact of different types of alcohol is unequable.
